A good work culture who did their best to take account of any safety issues and talk to their workers about given concerns and trends in and around the work site.

They did what they could to minimize issues that might trickle down from upper managerial and Supervisor level conflicts and from Prime Contractor meddling (such as shifting the goalposts when work was on schedule). 

Typical day was wait till the head boss set me a small simple task to do with or without a journeyman. I learned the basics of pipe bending, basics of light wiring and splicing, and basics of mounting. everything was pretty well organized until we where ahead. I loved my co-workers, great to work with, even though I am a female but they understood and worked well with me. Hardest part was actually trying to get someone to teach me electrical work so I can perfect them in my future. Most enjoyable was being able to be taught new work, and showing up to a good work environment.

Didn't really learn anything with Western.
 managment there are a few good ones, the rest must have good knee pads. 
Hardest part was working for bosses that don't deserve the title
the guys you work with are great (exept for the foremans).

i had a good learning experience at Western Electrical Management ltd. I learned how to work alone without the need of a journeymen watching me 24/7, learned alot about the fire alarm system and all that connects to it, especially the data loop, confusing at times when you're trying to trouble shoot and theres more than 20 devices connected to the loop

Great company to work for, people are polite, management is fantastic, wages are good, just a lack of projects at the moment.
Typical day at work included but not limited to pipe bending, pulling in circuits, installing cable tray, etc.

Foremen were poorly organized. Culture of fear. Employees unhappy.
Code practices were ignored.  Special treatment of certain employees over others. Apprentices unsupervised.  Incidents and safety concerns not reported or documented.

Some of the worst Journeymen Ive seen on any job site at this place, lazy, rude, obnoxious and ignorant. I couldnt recommend ever working here to anyone ever

Would love to work with Western again.
Accepting of everyone, and not afraid to give responsibility to the capable. 
Giving good, visible jobs, to the average Electrician, and would be a solid career for anyone.

Gained lots of commercial experience through a wide varieties of tasks and phases of construction. The benefits were great and the safety was taken seriously.

I haven't worked there in over 4 years, whats to say? When I left everything was going great, lots of work, no worries about layoffs. now, who knows? i don't.
