Western GMC Buick

overall a pretty decent place to work, I'll list pro's and cons 
Pro's 
- every other weekend off (I'd say you actually get 1/4 of them off with having to come in for appointments/ deliveries).
-lunch on Saturdays.
-pretty relaxed group no ones going to be all over you.
- decent pay plan with fairly low pack but low percentage (23% with unit bonuses at 8+ cars). 
- great people to work with I still communicate with many of them on a daily basis.
Cons
- absolutely zero growth opportunity on the sales side, two of the last three managers were hired from outside.
- no real culture, most departments dislike each other and it's a bit of a toxic environment.
-Each Manager has one person they feed (leads, house deals).

I feel this a very accurate analysis of the dealership, if you want to just go to work sell cars and go home it's a great place to work, if you're looking for a place to move up I'd look elsewhere they don't do any training or developing internally.

Everyone is very helpful, but at the end of the day, the GSM will make your time here terrible if you do not perform immediately after being hired. He had told me “to get the eff out of my office and start taking ups” even though I took 5 on average a day, he also made the comment “if you can’t sell your own grama you won’t make it very long here buddy” that was my 2nd day there. My grandmother is 70 years old and just wanted to price out what it would be to get into a van so I helped her. But he made that comment in front of another manager and 3 other sales people.

General manager is useless , not good at his job and treats staff like garbage. Parts is hard to deal with on a good day. Regular staff is decent for the most part , but watch who you trust . Service manager is a really nice person , but definitely weak at managing unproductive staff. This is the place you would go to work at if you couldn't find a job anywhere else , and would quit the second something better came along. Replacing the gm and parts manager would really improve things.

Western GMC is a great place to work. The culture in the BDC is extremely welcoming and fun. Management is very friendly and they do their best to accommodate any requests they receive. The salary is good and you have the option to earn more if you work harder which is a fantastic incentive. The only negative is that it is just like every other customer service job. You get amazing customers and occasionally you get ones that are not having a great day. Aside from that I would highly recommend this job to anyone interested.

Western GMC Buick is like a large family. Wonderful staff and very accommodating work environment. There is always fun to be had. Having taken an extended leave in the past, I was welcomed back to my previous position. Great management in all departments, whenever you need help the support is always there! Although the position is very complex, new training opportunities are provided throughout the year.

I started my sales career at Western. I couldn't have made a better choice in selecting a dealership. Very friendly starting from the sales staff all the way to the general manager . Instead of the management team breathing down your neck they offer constructive feedback. You get every other weekend off to ensure you won't burn out and is a great place whether you are brand new to the industry or a grizzled vet

Hours were convenient except everyone worked always weekends
Product knowledge of new and used vehicles
Management was good and fair
Hardest part of the job was always wanting to meet your objectives to set for yourself.
When you closed a deal and won all the spiffs.

I truly enjoyed my time at Western GMC. The management team was genuinely focused on my success and helped create strategies to ensure I was able to complete my job and even paid for extra training. The work environment was relaxed and fun but faced paced and very fair. I miss my time at Western GMC and would go back in a heartbeat if I felt car sales was a better fit for me.

BDC Management is horrible. If you want a manager who doesnt have a clue about anything be my guest. Join any other department except the BDC unless they have a different manager.
