What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay is the only perk. There is NO morale there whatsoever and no matter how above and beyond you go, there is absolutely no recognition for what you do!!!! Steer clear!!!!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unappreciated no matter what you do.  The managers don't acknowledge you under any circumstances.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment itself is what it is considering you are on your own for the most part.  The only time you see a supervisor/ manager is when they have an issue with you that they have to deal with.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up, work your butt off for 8 hours and even when you are leaving at the end of your shift you have someone complaining that they need you to do something before you leave and it's expected that you do it before you leave...... even though you aren't going to get paid for it!!!!

This was one of the hardest jobs I have ever done.  While very satisfying to help others that can not do for themselves, it was also very hard to see at the same time. There was no real typical day as such.  We would work as a team usually and very little on your own. My duties was to assist others with daily living, such as cleaning and helping them get dressed, with meals and coping with their daily stress of not being able to do for themselves like they once did. The hardest part of my job was watching people fade away, when there was nothing else for me to do but comfort them the best I could, weather that be by reading to them, do their hair or by just holding their hand. With that being said these were also some of the most enjoyable times, because there is nothing else in this world like making someone smile or to not feel alone.

I love my job because of the residents and my co-workers.  I hate working for Western health because of the people they hire for managers. They are not supporting. They smile and nod to your face and turn around and don't do anything. Environmental manager bullies staff in all departments. 
You'll be mandated up to 24 hours in a shift or end up working 2- 20 hour shifts in a weekend. This has happened to multiple staff members at several different occasions throughout the year. Not just Christmas or summer. It's always short staff because alot of staff is off injured. It hard to advance to a different position they will 

A good place to work. A fast paced environment. I learnt time management skills which were very important when caring for 16 to 32 resident's. I worked different hours, nights and days, mostly 12 hour shifts. I have never had any issues with management thus far. I feel comfortable going to my manager with any issues that may arise. Staff are, for the most part, very helpful, hard working individuals. The hardest part of my job is the declining of resident conditions, it is, unfortunately, an inevitable part of life, but it is always sad to see. I enjoy my resident's very much, they will always hold a place in my heart.

The rewarding experience with your residents.

Being mandated 
  You go to work not knowing when you are going home. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly. Love my job. When I was hired I said I love my job. Some workers told me give it 6 months and you won’t say that. It’s been 5 years and I can still say it 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy. Doing cares for the residents and feeding them

Typical day is very busy. Days that you work short staffed are very difficult. Managers are soso to deal with, some are more available and seem to care about you over others. Co-workers for most part are friendly, but you do have many who forgets that there is no "I" in team work. Hardest part of the job is feeling overwhelmed with work load some days and dealing with death of patients, residents etc. Most enjoyable part is knowing your helping provide care to people and knowing that your are making a difference in someones life.

The management set you up to fail every step of the way. You were unable to provide proper quality of care to residents due to time constraints. We were often short staffed and the size of the rooms compared to the amount of equipment made it very difficult to work. It  was a hostile work environment at the best of times. And constantly being on call for what was mostly a 4 hour shift here and there made it very difficult to have a life. My marriage almost failed because of this job.

Feeling like you are part of a family.

Not knowing when my job position would end.

Very welcoming. Everyone helped me to become a part of the family like environment.

It was a pleasure to come to work.  Very friendly working environment.

You are just a number . There is no human factor .

In my area it was really good , but as a manager I feel I had done that

Busy, many demands , frustration with others not full filling their role

They give you absolutely no time off you put in for. Management has 0 care for their staff. Way to under staffed, making it more difficult on the staff that are working work load is double. Many times you will be mandated to stay past your regular shift or have to come back 4 hours after for another full shift. And again poor management
