Managers overpaid and incompetent.  No advancement opportunities.  Lack of training.  Generally-accepted Accounting Practices are a foreign concept.  Stuck in the 1980s.

Westgate has the potential to be a great dealership and workplace.  Unfortunately, the absentee (Palm Springs, CA) owner has left his managers to their own devices - treating the employees like children, kinking numbers, failing to meet the standards set by the manufacturer they represent - General Motors of Canada.

Morale is absolutely terrible, but most employees feel they are 'economic prisoners,' due to the downturn in the economy.

Saddest place I've ever worked.

Transmission specialist, worked on rebuilding and repairing transmissions, but not solely. Rebuild and repaired engines, front and rear differentials, transfer cases, brake/hydraulic systems, Diesel engines, electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Several skills were obtained in order to make me a better asset when I left to work at CN Rail. Workplace culture was that of a family business and setting. Hardest part of the job would be not having enough stalls in order to work on multiple vehicles at any given time. Most enjoyable part was diagnosis and repair of vehicles, the challenge of being faced with a problem, to diagnosis, to repair.

I enjoyed working there, people where good to work with, friendly good humored. 
The hours were stead regular work week, with over time once in a awhile. Flexible if you need to go to appointments.  
There was always something of a benefit on a regular basis such as once a month Friday barbecue. 
 There was always a strive for excellence.

Great people to work with, lacks good management.  Too many chiefs, not enough Indians.  They will pull you in 50 directions no matter what position you are working.  Do not acknowledge your efforts, just keep pushing for more.  Do not expect a raise.

This place has a great dynamic, one of my favorite jobs by far. The relationships between employees is more of a family relationship and everyone is pretty approachable. I would recommend working here to anyone.

I found working at Westgate to be a great experience. They are a very busy shop with a great staff and management.  They are very customer orientated and care deeply about the quality of work done there.

I don't want to say much, but this place was a not a good place to work, there was a considerable amount of questionable decisions I did not think was appropriate, and ill leave it at that.

Did not like how it was ran. 
The don't care about family or whether you are sick. To them, you are replaceable. 

Hardest part of the job is putting up with the people that work there.
