If you want to feel like a servant then work here. They treat their staff with no respect, turn over rate is high. As a server in the dinning room members will email and complain about everything and anything behind your back. The bulk of the clientele is rich entitled men. The supervisors micro manage everything you do. Half of the dinning room supervisors have never been a server themselves but love to tell you how to do your job. Clubhouse manager is scary and if you do one thing slightly wrong (example: leave appetizer cutlery on the table when they are not having an app) she will yell at you and make you feel like you are the dumbest person in the world.
Westmount thinks if they offer benifits to full time employees it is incentive enough to stick around. It is very hard to hit 35 hrs in order to keep said benifits.

Management cares more about pleasing membership and taking care of each other than ensuring the workload for their underlings is manageable. HR is 8 times out of 10 unavailable. Attempts at morale boosting are superficial at best. Many things are said, none are acted on. You will be expected to do much more work than a public restaurant post for much less than you'd expect to be paid considering the clientele. If they offer you a new role/more responsibility, don't expect a raise to go with it unless you're willing to be humiliated in front of your coworkers just before dinner rush for it.

the management is bad they make fun of you behind your back. kitchen is a mess food is pulled out from boxes over a month old and left to rot. they are super obnoxious in the kitchen and don't treat there employees well. salary is so low you can't support yourself in anyway. in the kitchen your plates are kept in a storage room that is so dusty you have to scrub the dust off the plates and if there is any food still left on the dishes we pick it off for the next person. 

The job would go through lulls of very few people coming in and out of the locker room which made the job very disengaging and sometimes boring. However, there are rush hour times where I was not able to sit or take a break for 3-4 hours at a time. In addition to this, I was working this position alone so I would get little help from other employees. Shifts lasted 8 hours or more which was the main issue with the job, I often had to work longer than this to help out other areas of the clubhouse.

Many unhappy people , management unwilling to see the broad picture and because of this a very high turn over in employees of late . Unless part of the management team you are treated as a number and not much more no matter the efforts you have put in in the past .

Was a fun environment which was outside every day, learning how to multi task and have time management skills which lead to being a reliable lead within team projects.

It was a good place to work at. I always found something to keep me busy. I am looking forward to going back next summer. They are making some big changes for upcoming season 2015. Hopefully it will give them the advantages it needs to thrive like days of old.

Not much room for growth unless your working with the greens maintenance dept. Which is seasonal. Pay is low compared  to elsewhere. The environments pleasant and requirements are simple.

Too stressful... management to staff treatment was awful. Some chefs had to go 12 hours or more a day. Not worth getting paid minimum wage. Also manager at that time was a little racist.
