Westridge Cabinets

As an Estimator/Drafter I was responsible for creating CAD Drawings for customers and installers with the used of 2020 Technologies. Then inputting 2020 data into a Customer/Builder quote via a system called Westridge Database (WDB) which a salesperson or myself had created. Estimator would also be required to complete Service Jobs should any material needed to be ordered from our plant. The company is under new management so positions and duties may vary since my time there. The hardest part is limited staff and high quoting demand however the most enjoyable part, for myself, was the creating and designing and my co-workers.

Managers are only out to cover their own a**es, higher ups are even worse. Told to do things one way one day and the next day you’re getting in trouble and told to do it a different way. Pay is absolutely horrific for the amount of labour that goes into your 8hr shift. Very hostile work environment with a lot of employees, zero job security, layoffs all the time and if you aren’t being laid off you’re being let go for minuscule things. Stay far away from Westridge.

No paid breaks,interdepartmental communication very poor.few or no meetings employee input not desired. wages flat due to to many foreign workers or Asian \immigrants. Company only interested in investors, no profit sharing .supervisors arrogant puppets.management workers seem to outnumber production workers.

Having worked at Westridge for 9 years, I can say that I enjoyed my time there. The work got a little confusing here and there with the scheduling, but everything came out as it should in the end.

The people were great to work with and were also very reliable. The workplace culture was adaptive and inclusive, with everyone having the opportunities to learn a variety of positions in various departments.

I worked at westridge cabinets they treat people like a dime a dozen as bad as Walmart! Managment was two faced they had two rules for people they liked and people they didnt like. To deal with someone stepping out of line instead of working to fix a situation is was easier to fire that person on the spot and hire someone to take their place.They dont cultivate loyalty in a employee.

Working with my team each day I assisted in the preparation of cabinets, inspecting each one carefully to ensure perfection, sanding to work out any defects and finally staining so they were ready to be finished. I stood for long hours and moved heavy items around the warehouse for each new step all while keeping my work area clean and safe

I felt that Westridge Cabinets was a great place to work. I loved my coworkers, they definitely aided in my enjoyment of my work life. The company went through a shift in management which did change things a bit but I did see many positive things come out of the shift. I would go back to Westridge if an opportunity arose.

This place has problems from the top to bottom with a judgemental useless HR rep. This job offered no advancment oppurntunities Or raises just lies and excuses. The whole mood and attitude within the factory staff is angry and broken. It was a bad experiance and have seen things I never thought I wiuld in a workplace

Friendly and helpful staff along with the mechanical work for the machines was a great thing about the job. The long hours and most weeks turned into 7 day weeks became very tiresome.

They dont take harasment seriously there was a worker who damaged my cat and harassed me and they didnt do nothing bout him he was a creep and a perve and i felt unsafe
