I worked 10 hour days and received over time hours after the 6 hours for the first and last 2 days worked and then overtime for the rest after 8 hours. I would work 20 days and go home for 8 days. I day was travel time. I stayed in a camp where we bussed to and from. They flew me in and out. I would go into work and take care of quality control paper work, learnt how to do Document control, saved pictures taken out in the field to correct files, copied and scanned document and plans, had a half hour lunch, safety meetings every wednesday. The hardest part of the job was not having enough to do at times. The most enjoyable part was working with the people and trying to learn what everybody was doing. My co-workers were very easy to work with.

The job was temporary, but these guys just hire everybody who sends in a resume and then whittle it down to people's subjective opion without doing a real review of work performance. Even the formen are hired and laid off so fast that you could have one do a negative review on you only after two weeks of being on your crew. They ask for an honest opinion on things and then hold it against you. Completely disorganized. Order you to to do horrible looking work just to get it temped up but don't bother tell you it is tempory, just do as you are told.

install tray, pull cables, work a 10 hour day.good guys on our crew of 10.lots of climbing rung ladders and stairs. top of the stripper column is 135 feet.good foreman, easy going but good direction. very safety conscious. we stretch before work.its hard work and very physical but I like the fact it keeps me in shape. the best part of the day is knowing that we are part of a team with one goal, to do a safe and top quality installation.

I have worked for Westwood for almost 4 years now and have seen a great improvement. They have been making great strides with regards to eliminating Bullying and Harassment in the organization and creating a diverse workplace. I know they are not perfect, but they make up for it by addressing any issues head on. Management is approachable and truly cares for the employees. I enjoy going to work every day because I trust the people I work with and I have a manager that respects me.

They make 2nd and 3rd year apprentices foreman that have no experiance and have no idea what thier doing so they just yell and scream at everyone and pointing the finger, when things go wrong the foreman throws everyone under him under the bus. Don't know how it was on other sites but the one I was on was terrible. The foreman was an idiot almost getting himself and others killed cause he didn't know what he was doing.

Really admired the dedication, education and quality of the management staff. Friendly work environment with advancement potential for all employees. Top notch company through and through.

Westwood had a rock solid safety culture, with considerable time spent ensuring everyone's wellbeing.  I also learned a lot from the way things were organized, which allowed for accountability and more effective control of quality.

Camp life is hard and brutal and soul stealing. You can't judge a company based on one job at one site over a few months.
This job was a good experience for me and it was well put together even though out client was hard to work with and their support was never there.

company has gone down hill. constant material shortages, lack of planning and organization, communication between upper management seems to be non- exsistant. And they cant seem to get work as of late, so unfortunately the company is not what it use to be.

Worked well with the all trade crews. Day would start with morning safety meeting and reviews of hazard Identification. Good safety culture and safety policies. I enjoyed Meeting new employees and getting to know them during there orientation. and training
