Great company to work for. They demand you do your job and treat you fairly, They listen to what you have to say and encourage you to speak your mind. They encourage you to participate in all forms of employment planning and give your opinion about how things can be improved. They have a fairly good safety culture and the safety department is working hard to improve it all the time. You are encouraged and expected to attend Company/Client meetings and to give your input.My coworkers were very patient and easy to get along with and everyone was encouraged to have a good time. The accommodate the employee where they can and do not ask you to do more than you are capable of doing.

Mornings at WIC always started out a bit slow.
The organization, to the actual work being done took close to an hour to begin.
I learned many different skills during my work time at this company.
Steamfitter/Pipefitter to Welders helper, with days of hydro testing.
My Co-workers were great, many people all happy to be there.

Hardest part of the job would of been transferring work areas constantly, which also is the most enjoyable part as well, working on entirely new projects was always fun.

Whaler is a great place to work if you're looking for work-life balance.  They provide you with opportunities to gain a lot of experience but you need to have an overall great knowledge of the construction industry and processes as you need to be able to fulfill many roles.

Small quiet office on the outskirts of downtown. They provide a commuters allowance which was nice but far from covered the cost of parking and commuting. Job security is non existent, they do not try to keep employees busy. When work slows down they lay off employees instead of creating work.

12 hour days

The most enjoyable part of the job was having a great Lead that was patient and talked to me with respect.

Great company to work at when they have work. Same work force all
 projects. All men that were good had steady employment. Most work was in remote area's.

Got along with everyone really well, had no issue with management when I needed to speak with them. Found every one in the office very approachable. Would work for them again.

Yes the may be a little conservative with raises and a little lacking on support at that time. With the New Safety manager things are sure to flow a lot more smoothly.

Whaler Industrial continues to grow work scope wise and continues to impress the client. 
Definitely a company worth a second look when considering employment

Never had any problems besides the fact that I wasn’t doing what trade I signed up to be. I was fine with that though great place to work. ................
