I work there few months but I build up beautiful relationship with residents their and family members, visitors and of course staff members.  Working in  dementia department is fun place as I used to to dance with my beautiful residents and play games, walk with them and help them out for anything they need..I miss them alot, wish to go bk and work there again..I got hired on temporary position and got laid off after few months. As Covid hit right after and I thought just take a break so applied for laid off but during break did security guard basic program and regular to gym etc...Now I am trying to get back to work for income and enjoy working...Wish me luck..

The Job is overall okay, managment, team leaders, etc can be very bias and unfair alot of the times. Alot of the workers who have been there longer tend to be ruder and judgmental to the new staff. 

The residents are really nice, alot of them brought huge smiles on my face. The job can be hard at times. however, it is quite enjoyable and the hours are short and flexible, especially if you have another job/ other responsibilities. 

I love working with seniors, Management  and staff are like family, everyone share a positive attitude and work together to ensure the excellence in resident care whether it is for independent, assisted living or memory care resident.

approachable staff and management. Values the residents. as an hca, you would assist with simple activities of daily living of the residents. There a supportive living unit where residents who has complex dementia lives and specially taken care of.

Worked here for a couple of years. So many good people involved in making everything that happens here happen. I worked in the dish-pit for a while before being trained in some prep. Instruction which was done at such a level i have succeeded in kitchens since.

i worked at this retirement home for a few years as a kitchen helper and overall it was good experience . Good job for beginners just washing dishes and maintaining tidiness of the kitchen

If you're young (in high school or post-secondary) and need a part-time job, it'll do. Per hour pay is not much off of minimum wage. The wage increase is only available through "x amount of hours" and not performance-based. Usually, part-time servers only get three-hour shifts. At most, getting 6-9 hours per week.

Great environment to work in. Staff are treated extremely well and appreciated. A lot of learning opportunities and challenging environment. Collaborative team.

Assisting in bathing, giving meditation, feeding, helping them to washroom, taking them to bed, having daily friendly conversions and general welfare of patients

I loved working here, every department had great management when I worked there. The only complaint I might have is it wasn't a super high paying position.
