I should’ve known at the interview that the job was going to be awful. The person that was supposed to be interviewing me... DIDNT TURN UP. I waited for 45 minutes and nobody turned up. I was then given two completely different reasons as to why they didn’t turn up, such obvious lies to save their own skin. After arranging and doing another interview, I got the 25 hour contract job. 25 hours turned into 45 hours with no warning whatsoever. After 3 weeks I decided to quit because my in-shop rota was completely different to my RotaGeek app, my boss was clearly trying to set me up for failure. Now that I’ve left the job, I still haven’t received a payslip, I’ve been paid HALF of what I’m owed and my ex boss is avoiding ALL of my calls and texts. I’d rather get the plague than work for this company again. If you’re thinking of joining William Hill, don’t even bother.

Worked for a while, not impressed with management skills. A lot of forceful people in this company and too many restrictions compared to years ago. Typical day was spent on your own, worked up to 14.5 hour days on your own, possibly without a break. No thanks from management if you went above and beyond. Customer service is fantastic, but training is completely different to actual work. Higher managers don't see what actually shops see, very different points of view. Work life balance was non existent too. Never saw much of my family, unless I booked holiday off. Would not recommend.

I am in charge of opening the shop, so i would organise all monies for the shop, all correct marketing and promotions, as well as simple daily tasks. I learned that organisation is key to any jobs that you take on.

I work in a team of five in which we all work together to achieve targets and company standards. The hardest part of my job is dealing with intoxicated customers.

I enjoy most of all meeting new people everyday and having a fun and enjoyable atmosphere to work in.

This job gives very little opportunity to advance far within the company. It is extremely easy and presents the worker with very little challenge. My co-workers are great and the customers (all regulars) in the shop which I work are the best part of my job. Despite being extremely unchallenging the position has taught me how to better handle customer complaints and obviously more about the gambling industry.

Not a very well run company . Cuts corners at every opportunity and penny pinches. Very little incentive to employees to do more than they have to. You do not get rewarded for going the extra mile! The lack of enthusiasm and motivation runs from top to bottom of the pile of employed people's.  Incredibly disorganised, little or no perks to the job. Long hours, no thanks!

Work can be easy, and with no direct supervisor watching over you, you can chill out when there are no customers. 

Terrible pay, You are a pawn to anyone above your boss, they do not care about you. "Unbreakable" rules apply until it benefits them. 

Love working with the team great support and have made friends for life.

Great workplace atmosphere have fun days with a particular topic ie: Halloween

Open and honest with updates happening within the Company as a whole.

It is an enjoyable place to work. fast career progression. nice people to work with.. overall the jobs ok for flexibility but you have times where they don't take into consideration that you have a life outside of work. I don't agree with self manning as it put you under added pressure

Difficult to manage work/life balance due to chronic staff shortage. Shop staff are very good to work with. However, staff keep leaving soon. That's why difficult to get desired day off.

I worked for the company for over 3 years and the bpms are horrible the company overall treat their staff bad I’m glad I left when I did! Avoid!!!!!!!
