Worked at WKS for 1.5 years as I started my apprenticeship there and I enjoyed my time with the company

In my experience, management was always understanding, had realistic expectations and helped you meet those expectations. There was always something to learn and the journeymen I worked with were good teachers

You’ll have to put in your time chipping holes and doing grunt work but if you show dedication then crew leaders will notice and you’ll move into other tasks 

WKS also has a few staff parties per year and a golfing event

Pay increases upon yearly reviews to match the industry standard. If industry wages go up, WKS makes the adjustment to yours without you needing to go hunt someone down. Pay is at industry levels and very fair

I’d recommend working there. I had to leave because of the commuting distance (sites are high rises in Richmond/Burnaby/Van) but if not for that then I’d have stayed


William Kelly and Sons have provided me with a positive learning experience in the Plumbing Industry field on a daily basis - everyone you work with makes a typical day at work fun and enjoyable to come in and learn something new everyday. Management is always willing to help you learn and go through with you step by step on what area/field of Plumbing you are trying to accomplish in. It's a very well organized Family Company with outside company events that all employees get to enjoy - a long with their family. They're always looking and seeking for individuals within the company for Advancement.

Working at the plumbing company was a mixed experience. The job provided steady work and the team was decent, but there were some issues that kept it from being a great place to work. Communication from management was often lacking, and we were sometimes expected to work extra hours without much notice. The pay was fair, but it could have been better considering the physical demands of the job. Training for new hires could use improvement, as I felt like some employees were thrown into jobs without enough guidance. Overall, it’s an okay place to work, but there’s room for improvement in how they treat and support their staff.

The day's where different depending on the moods. Everybody has a good day and a bad day. But for what I remember it was a very great place to work, everyone was very friendly and professional. The management was phenomenal and I learned so much from the intelligent plumbers at WKS. Very smart guys. The most enjoyable part of the job for myself was completing tasks fast and well done. The hardest part of the jobs where doing the heavy lifting and the hard labor work.

I started with this company right out of the ELTT plumbing training at BCIT. Interview was informative and I was on a site the next day working for them. I've been with the company for 9 years now and have had no reason to leave since I started. The core group of employees make for a fun and enjoyable work environment.

I really enjoyed working for william kelly and songs, although it wasnt a lengthly employment due to the distance travelled to the site everyday.

I am currently an journeyman plumber at William and sons . I have been working with the company since 2 years and I never had any complaint from the management and foremans. The bosses are really helpful and understanding and the company really helped me in achieving my goals. I really recommend William jelly and sons for rewarding and stable job .

Great family run company full of long term employees, many of  whom have completed their full apprenticeship with the company and have advanced to management positions. Hard work is recognized and rewarded. They host many company events which are all a lot of fun.

A good place to work. I have learned a lot about developing a good work ethic. Management is very understanding towards the needs of the workers. The workplace culture is relaxed. The hardest part of the job is the physical toll that the work has on ones body.

A forward thinking and conscientious  employer who continuously provides increasing levels of training and potential advancement opportunities within a professional structure. We as employees receive many benefits and perks. A great work environment.
