At Willows Agriservices in Harrowsmith, ON. The prospective employee should expect a work environment which is completely void of any formal training or work structure. From day 1, employees are not given any explicit instructions in regards to work duties, one needs to figure out the structure of the place entirely on their own accord. This leads to a constant and steadfast turn-over of employees as observed from a senior employee. New hires more often than not have a difficult time fitting themselves into the right place, with no guidance from management. Often times, said employees are often let go after only a few weeks to no fault of their own. New hires are often let go on the sole-basis that management does not find them likable, or "not the right fit", never recognizing their own fault in regards to a lack of structure and training.  

Prospective employees of Willow's Agriservices should also be made aware that any employee who exercises their right to disclose major health & safety issues through the proper channels, will be given the run-around, or more often simply ignored. 

Willows Agriservices is of the opinion that their employees should all work 48 hours per week, every week, with no additional overtime pay, despite what is advertised when they are hiring.

Considering the fact that Willows Agriservices has immense trouble keeping an adequate amount of employees to run their facilities at any given time; they take this frustration out on their reliable employees, who will be reprimanded (and threatened to be let go) for any legitimate absences or tardiness. If for some reason you can't make it to work, you will be judged harshly and your circumstances compared in terms of necessity to the reasons anybody else in the facility (namely management) may have for missing work. In final, Willows Agriservices as a whole seems to run their business "fly-by-night" style, exhibiting a grave lack of meaningful communication between management and employees. It should be known to prospective employees that your superiors in Harrowsmith will answer to their remotely located superiors elsewhere in the province at their main location in Delta, and will seek their over-the-phone advice regarding important workplace issues. Management in Delta will visit the Harrowsmith location sparsely, if ever at all, giving them no accurate insight as to the lack of structure in their own warehouse and store facilities. It is this "fly-by-night" style which unfortunately leads to any workplace issues, from safety to general functionality, being factually misconstrued. Your superiors in Harrowsmith will not effectively communicate any of their employees concerns to their direct superiors, often agreeing with the remotely located staff in Delta, downplaying key issues for the purpose of not causing too much "noise" and out of a ridiculous, non-existent fear that their own reputation will be hurt. This style leads to unfair biases between management and employees. 

Work somewhere else considering all employees that Willows Agriservices burns through do not last very long in general, whether it be the warped perception of management coming to the conclusion of letting you go, or the guaranteed undue mental stress prospective employees will likely experience. 

Management is horrible and arrogant, day is chaotic at best with conflicting directions from multiple bosses. Work culture is basic trauma bonding, great co workers. Pay is as low as they can get it unless you are able to leverage their temporary need of you into money. Turn over rate is extremely high, they are always hiring for a reason. Absolutely no training provided, trial by fire is the willows way. Taking lunches and breaks is frowned upon and discouraged.

Your work hours will be 8-5 mon-fri 
And 8-12 Sat now if you wanna be punished and humiliated in front of customers for showing up .early to start your shifts to make there company run smoother by actually placing product out for customers to buy or get access to before 8. only to show up one day to a open store at 730 no warehouse associates and no way to fill those orders yet please go right shards and apply L

The owners are arrogant and smug to their employees. A typical day is chaotic and disorganized,  they will ask you to do unsafe work like standing on the forks of a forklift to work at heights, they also expect you to work while eating your lunch, they dont offer breaks, and refused to pay me overtime.

I started after they built a brand new feed mill.  It's been great. Some learning for everyone, including management, on how everything works so sometimes it gets confusing but it's been interesting to be part of.  Very steady pace, not too hectic but always something to do.

I worked in one of their stores. The pace was steady. There was a lot to learn and hard to keep track of everything but after a few weeks you got the hang of it.  There was a good group of people working there and the customers were nice.

Enjoyed working here.  Always lots of things to do and get to meet lots of different people.  Sometimes it can get hectic and things change a lot..but it's great.

Worked there for a spring season when busy with fertilizer.   It was busy and involved a lot of last minute running around.  Needed to work some longer days. But that was all told upfront at interview.  It was a fun spring.

You’ll be paid as close to minimum wage as they can get you, they’ll demand 6 days a week of heavy intensive labour with no incentive and a growing list of responsibilities 

Great place to work! The owner is nice! Friendly staff! The dog is fun. There are 2 forklifts so heavy lifting is kept to a minimum. I really enjoy my time there!
