Wings Up

During my day at wings up I would be working in the kitchen, cash and driving. I would assure that all the food is cooked fast but efficiently and made sure everything looked presentable. Working here I have learned a lot. Such as how to handle stressful situations and how to assure that a customer leaves happy. My management was very professional and was always there to make sure you did nothing but the best possible work for there store. After working here for nine months I have made many new relationships with my co-workers we go out at least once a month to dinners or bowling ect. I would have to say the hardest part of my job was dealing with customers who would not stop until they got something for free or discounted. Some of these customers became very hostile and put me in uncomfortable situations, but with the help of the staff we always got through it. My favourite part of the job was being able to get a regular client base. Knowing peoples names, families and orders was always something that brightened both my day and the customers. Overall, working here at Wings Up is a awesome job that I would recommend to anyone interested working in a restaurant.

Cleaning and dealing with management. They don't care about the hard working staff

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful. A lot of work and under staffed 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful. Understaffed , lots of cleaning, get used and abused from people higher up

Working at Wings Up was a great experience full of opportunities. I learned how to handle food and care for customers. The hardest and most stressful part of the job is when there is a big rush, and a great amount of orders to fulfil. However, the most enjoyable part of the job is being able to feel accomplished that you've worked your hardest at the end of the day.

Training was minimal and the expectation is that you will perform relatively dangerous tasks without any training, i.e cooking using hot oils with one 5 minute session of when to move the wings from one fryer to the next. The manager also yells at you is you are not performing to his expectation but doesn't train to what that expectation is.

Wings up is a good place to work if you want a part time job for some extra cash but if you like getting work done and everyone helping out who is working, good luck at that place. The management staff is amazing always puts the customers and his staff before him except everyone is basically trained by another employee

Disorganized managers, unrealistic sales goals, failing business, cheap labour and mediocre food with unsatisfied customers. Not much else to add pretty self explanatory.

experience was very good and environment friendly.i work as a shift manager there . every body is very nice and president is very nice person. i work there for long shifts like open to clocing

Never slow. Always constant with regular customers. Very saucy. The best part about the food chain in Guelph is the delivery service, quick and respectable.
