Your salary is based off of how many calls you can do in one day (piece work).

Except work is so slow that you're competing with 2-3 other contracted companies that also do service calls for Rogers. (SC360, Intek, etc.) So you only average about 3-6 calls a day.

Service calls are usually ~$16 a pop. But you could spend up to two hours trying to fix the customers cable, internet or phone. Which obviously amounts up to $8 an hour.

If you fall behind, it screws your whole day up because you're now having to deal with customers that are unhappy with the fact that you're late.

Benefits are reasonable. But the money you make takes away from that added perk.

You work by yourself, so if you run into problems that you are having a hard time dealing with at a call, you've got no one to help you out.

The training they provide has been beneficial in helping me better understand the services I have at home which is nice.

This is a part-time, low wage job being advertised as being a "full-time, high paying" opportunity. I would not recommend to anyone seeking a steady source of income.

My first experience at Wirecomm has been very positive. The workplace is organized and professional, and the staff are respectful and supportive. From the beginning, everything was well-structured and the onboarding process was clear. The team provides proper training and guidance, and they take the time to explain processes and expectations. Management and colleagues have a professional attitude and make new employees feel welcome. Overall, Wirecomm has given me a great first impression, and I’m happy to be part of the team and look forward to learning and growing in this role.

It’s piece work, the pay rate will increase few cents per piece after a year, chances to grow up in company is low, if you have the skills it’s better to try applying to Rogers directly instead of wasting your time at this company, supervisors are nice, a lot of unfair pay deductions. There’s a union for techs but unfortunately the union is weak due as techs doesn’t attend or support the union because they’re afraid from the management thinking that management did them a favor by hiring them and helping them getting a PR. Many techs works there temporary until they obtain their immigration papers then quit

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
As a new team member, I haven't experienced major sources of stress yet. I am still learning and getting familiar with the role and environment.

Responsible for installing High Speed Internet, Cable Television, Digital Cable Terminals (DCT), Digital Phone Terminals (DPT) and home entertainment equipment for residential customers.Maintaining excellent relationships with customers.Consistently learning and updating knowledge to defuse customer dissatisfaction.

In wirecomm working on rotational, shift every week. Learned alot of things from company like,customer dealing every day,technology,new products in market,learned about networking,cabling in houses and commercials/team work/rf and fibre tools/different splitters and amplifers. Etc

Safe yourself the stress and headaches look somewhere else. Noone needs the troubles  management forces on their workers. Bad work environment, all they care about is money. 

Low pay, poor benefits, constant revolving door of employees. It’s a constant marathon from the moment you start till the end of the day. If you don’t hustle you make no money. It’s just go, go to be able to feed your family

Good place to gain experience to jump into this industry. 
You get time to learn your not rushed. Company vehicle which helps offset wages. Nice short hours which is good for quality of life.
