Womens Fitness Clubs of Canada

My working experience at WFCC was always positive. I learned a lot from my colleagues - and through Can Fit Pro. There was also a lot of camaraderie among the trainers and clients. WFCC was like my second home.

Maintaining my certification and CEC's, Insurance and such became too burdening for me, so I chose not to continue in the fitness industry. It was an amazing four year stepping stone for me.

You really get the opportunity to expand your schedule and client base at your own pace. The management is there to guide you and motivate you to be the best you can be.

In general, it may not be a boutique style gym, but it is a great place to work. The trainers are all amazing and highly educated. You get to decide what your work/life balance is worth.

It is a fun work place where receptionists and managers work as a team to provide best customer service. I have learned how to deal with different situations providing service for members as young as 17 years old to seniors. The culture is very friendly. Members and staff are like family. The hardest part of the job is the ability to multitask and be able to be attentive to member's needs at all times. The most enjoyable part of the job is to working with amazing women from different backgrounds and work as a team.

A typical work day, I make my way to the studio, get my sound together, my incense and mat ready.  If I am using blocks and a strap, I get that ready as well. I always arrive at least ten minutes early to set up and most importantly welcome and connect with my students before class begins.  The hardest part is catering a sequence that is easy for everyone but still challenging.  The most enjoyable is coming up with a weekly sequence.  It allows me to get connected to my own practice and to experience what my student are experiencing.

A typical day is relatively easy, must be good at multitasking during busier hours. Enjoyed the friendship I'd made with other workers, however, a change in management is what led me to the decision to leave. Very stressful and unfriendly working environment, not conducive to learning

I personally really enjoyed working there. I loved working with the staff and management. It was a great place for me to gain some experience in different departments of the company. Hours were either early morning shift or late evening shifts. 

This is the only gym I've worked at where the training manager truly cares about our clients as people, and not just about their wallets. The training team is collaborative and supportive of each other, all knowledgeable, and with different strengths to be able to find a fit for any kind of client. 

Most of the members have no idea about gym culture ( sharing machines and space).Very weird athmosphere in general, members are usually grumpy old ladies and very annoying. Very small space, no designated area for personal training, old machines, no crossfit area.

the work environment was alwasy open and welcoming. Everyone always smiled when I walked in. Members were very kind and always would say hi if they recognized me. All the staff were close and open to one another. I enjoyed all the work very much.

This workplace has the best management and staff you will meet. Management is so supportive and kind and staff is super friendly it's like a family. The job itself is very slow paced most times with some busy spurts. Most of the time you are working independently. 

I really enjoyed working in a high paced environment, other employees were very friendly and engaging with me. The participants were very engaged with the courses. Overall, a fun, high paced environment.
