Management is poor since theres been changes in the past few years/months. Case managers are all persian and not very diverse. business are conduct in a very hush hush way. 
Workplace culture is toxic and if you dont fit in they will single you out. Hardest part of the job is that if you work hard you dont get recognition however if you are behind on your work they treat you like a queen (Disappointing ). Management lack the skills to deal with problems and some of them have very broken English.
Almost all of the employees dont have career counselling experience (I dare you to ask if they do!). Services are basic and if you need help they have one person helping 2-6 people with their resume. They often push people to any job in order to look good with the government. If you are satisfied COMPLAIN to the ministry and you will be heard! Trust me. 


A respectful workplace with emphasize on Diversity , Equity, inclusion. Casual wear office attire, working in a diverse community with lots of genuine and talented people. Many training opportunities for personal life skills and professional growth. The hardest part of the job is to stay motivated with not inclusive employers in the community. The most enjoyable part of the job is empowering the individuals and transforming their life better and become independent, able to contribute their skills and be accepted and integrate into the community as a citizen. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is when a client succeeds with gaining sustainable employment and we can celebrate. Client results are the most rewarding part of this position. 

A typical day at work is client appointments, applications on behalf of the client for available Work BC services. 

Hyper surveillance. No presence of human resources and any coaching is geared to meet "metrics.” These metrics are beyond the control of staff and dependent on labor market and client. 

What I learned is this is not a good place to work. The money seems good until you understand the unsupportive environment.

I have been able to learn quite a bit of tips and tricks in resume and job searching strategies.   Good and fun people to draw knowledge from.  Do not actually work for this company but have decided to make it a mini job for the time being to just search for employment.  Trying to stick to times and schedules to do it.

Team members are collaborative but no training from director supervisor. Toxic. Constant insecurity due to abrupt firings and no debriefing as well as staff turnover.

Worthwhile work. Paperwork intensive. Strong team. Enjoyable experience. It's great to work with clients on a common goal: their sustainable employment.

Toxic, Chaotic work environment, management has zero work ethic, ironic that a place that is mandated to help connect people to employment would have such low ethics. 

Great overall experience. Lots of learning opportunities on how interpret policy and procedures. 
Many new developments happened during covid










Met people from different backgrounds and heard their interesting stories. This volunteering position help me gain another opportunity, where people are friendly and help you out
