What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Leadership under the Director of Sales – West was a major challenge. There was a consistent pattern of dismissive communication, lack of support, and a management style that relied on pressure and intimidation rather than guidance or collaboration. Concerns raised by employees were often minimized or met with defensiveness instead of solutions. Expectations frequently changed without clear direction, which created confusion, stress, and low morale across the team. This environment made it difficult for employees to perform at their best or feel valued for their contributions.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture under this management were consistently difficult. The tone set by leadership created a high-pressure atmosphere where fear outweighed support, and employees often felt undervalued rather than motivated. Communication was frequently dismissive, feedback was delivered without empathy, and there was little room for open dialogue or collaboration.

This approach fostered low morale and disengagement across the team. Instead of encouraging growth, accountability, and trust, the culture felt reactive and tense, making it challenging for employees to feel psychologically safe or confident in their roles. Over time, this environment negatively impacted team cohesion, performance, and retention.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most days were driven by urgency and control rather than planning and leadership. Employees spent more time managing stress and navigating communication challenges than focusing on meaningful work, which ultimately affected both performance and well-being.

Company that seems to favor employees with NO opinions or with the same opinion as management. Orders trickle down from the head office in California and aren't filtered in any way by local management. I was hired to eventually become part of management but as I saw things develop in the weirdest of ways, I made the decision to not be part of something I wasn't approving of. There is no discipline for slackers, drug addicts, alcoholics. On the other hand, the more productive employees are stalled with a bunch of idiotic rules and regulations. In other words, management seems to have no or very poor judgement. As soon as I made my superior aware of the fact that I had no interest at all in joining the management group, I was put aside and my days were counted from that point on.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Supervisor, and management were excellent with me. The location was perfect for my location and everything overall was really a good experience for both of us.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It was a fairly busy company. Most days were hectic, but nothing I couldn’t handle with prioritization.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly and helpful, thoughtful and really great team players and team lead

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy but fun In the morning we would start out doing the last orders that were printed the day before and then moving onto same-day orders, starting at eight and finishing at 4:30 a lot of orderpicking auditing shipping and receiving

Worldpac has great hours. My co-workers where pleasant to work with. The big disadvantage is the delivery routes are not doable. Management knows it and swears their hands are tied, because they don't want to redo the routes because they will have to hire additional drivers. The amount of work that gets done in a day is not worth the salary they pay. One advantage.. Benefits after 3 months. The most enjoyable part of the job is being on the road all day. When I first started it was a more relaxed atmosphere, now they are micromanaging it. Talk about dreading not having any deliveries and having to stay in the warehouse to do inventory!

Very standard warehouse work with good separation of departments (i.e. freight, receiving, courier, etc.). Many opportunities to gain skills including forklift license. Firm but fair management able to give criticism on employee performance, but willing to be lenient and constructive when necessary. Workplace culture was relaxed to a degree, but committed to getting good work done. Safety and teamwork were held in high regard, with employees nearly always looking out for each other and having each other's backs. Physically demanding job, as expected of a warehouse, but with a very friendly base of employees willing to welcome new hires. 

Worldpac is great if you are a delivery driver for them or if you want to get experience managing for the first time.  If you are an experienced manager and you happen to work for Worldpac, then good luck.  Constant poor decision making from the top down, lack of communication and a horrendous ERP system and network.  Managers don't have the freedom to make any decisions and everything is a one size fits all approach to the branches.  You have no control over your branch unless you go against the grain to get things done the way they should be.

I would start at 8 am arriving at 7:45 every day we would have a drivers meeting and then we would go and make a circle check of our vehicles. Then we would load the freight into our vehicles for delivery.

Management needs work with how to deal with there employess.

Co workers were great we would help each other load freight on to the vehicle and help deliver freight for the other driver if they were busy.

There was not a hard part about this job

Was my customers they were great.

Typical warehouse that normally needs certified steel toed boots. Your coworkers are people from all walks of life, so small talk and hard work is key. You're assigned either picking, packing, or driving for delivery at the shipping station for auto car parts. Weekly pay which was the only benefit working as a contractor. No job security, so they can fire you at will. Good cash, but high turnover rate

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Worldpac Canada Inc. at 2370 Walkley Rd., Ottawa. The management team exhibits an arrogant attitude and treats staff as if they are not valued or even human. It's disheartening to see such a lack of respect and empathy in the workplace. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values a healthy and respectful work environment.

WorldPac Canada is a fun and respectful place to work. Management is approachable, understanding, and willing to help whenever needed. Coworkers are friendly, supportive, and work well as a team, which makes the work environment positive and comfortable. Training is provided, and there is always someone available to answer questions or offer guidance, especially for new employees. The workplace feels organized, and everyone is treated with respect.
