I worked for Conway/xpo for 12yrs those years and they where the most exhausting years of my life. If you go to xpo as a driver here's how it will go. They place you as a flex driver meaning no schulde. If they need a driver on night and you've been working days all week they will switch you to nights and tell you get over it that's how we run things. And Fridays is the only time people seem to get sick there. When they call you have 2 hours to get in. You're basically on call without standby pay so you wait around the phone all day to find out they have no work that day. But you can't find part time work because they my need you on nights so the day is wasted if you don't answer their call that's a write up. Also management is fired/laidoff/quit  Frequently and every time someone new came in they made cut back to hours hoping the top managers would notice them. Driver work the dock unloading and loading trailers.This get very cold in the winter because they do not have heated docks and they're open to the elements. The driver Morale and attitudes are among the worst in the industry. There is Favoritism also among seniors drivers for example the company blocks out weeks so no one can book off but some how sertin drivers will be given that time. As far as equipment goes  Fairly new. They slip seat driver so no  Dedicated truck .equipment is taken To US terminals to be serviced. So if you're on nights you will be switching trucks part way though your run. I stayed because I thought I would  Eventually get a schedule but every time someone quit or got  fired or retired they never replaced that person schedule so after 12 years I finally gave up and moved on. And wow I've been missing out the industry needs experience drivers and good companies know this .xpo is not one of them. if you take a job with them you will find out yourself.

Zero accountability, from anyone. If they can throw you under the bus for something, they will in a heartbeat.
Nobody, at any level of this company, has any kind of organizational skills nor sense of direction without essentially having their hand held, no issues are ever dealt with (long term OR short term) and there's more excuses than solutions provided by management.
Really, all upper and middle management cares about is fluffing investors' pockets and making sure their numbers look good, rather than catering to health and safety issues as well as operational issues I.e. months of not having straps for freight, despite them "being on order", trailers are never in proper working condition and sometimes there are even trailers that can't legally go down the road moved between service centers, and you will be expected to work around these problems rather than have them dealt with by your boss. 
They also have a horrible habit of hiring from outside the company, so don't expect any kind of career advancement here.

Day shift had 6 people doing the jobs of double that. Night dispatchers were so stressed out they constantly made mistakes. 4 different mangers that would pass the buck to each other then turn off their phones. Very poor employee retention. No focus on fixing reoccuring problems, just on getting through the day. Treated their most loyal workers so poorly they left. Dispatchers blamed for not being able to contact drivers with no/full voicemails. Swaying focus on office issues without acknowledging the root issue i.e. "Please take your break" "Complete daily surveys" "check all emails and voicemail" no one to cover your station/written up for missing calls while handling surveys/not enough staff to take calls while listening to all voicemails. Paid below industry standard even after min wage went up. Had regional bosses come out to blow hot air at us and fired the employee who kept bringing up pay. 

Workload is high, expectations same but if you want to put in the effort and learn you’ll do fine.  
Some frustration with working with people who only come to work to socialize and put others down who are doing their job.  HR cares and does what they can to curb the bad behaviour,  senior management needs to cut the dead weight, not make excuses to hang on a bit too long this annoys people who work hard.  Example definitely the IT guy (such a fake; joke) and the Recruiter,(clueless, inappropriate) such a waste of $ watching that mess; finally over and hiring real skill!!
There is growth; people are sometimes moved into manager role before ready but need that help from senior managers to show them the way.  Sometimes just isn’t time but for sure chance to learn fast.

Great people, fair pay and ongoing  recognition and coaching.  The team is very focused on personal and professional development with superior technology to support operations. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Equipment breakdowns can be challenging but have a great support network with internal and external customers and venders. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very progressive and forward thinking utilizing technology to measure results and areas of improvement.  People are always the priority and number one asset. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Communication through various meetings.  Co ordinate with teams objectives and oversee development plan.  Ensure work is in line with safety and production goals.

Run for the hills. If you are looking to work somewhere that violates and constantly breaks labour laws, then Xpo is the place for you. Every workplace has their issues, but this place by far takes the medal. Management was a nightmare. If you even think to discuss with them what they are doing wrong to you as an employee, they all team up against you to silence you. There's also no point of HR as they are close with the boss so they will never understand your side. Oh, and you're being hired in for $16 but everyone else is receiving a higher pay than you are. That's not because of how long someone has been there, but because it's beneficial for them. Hence why they will tell you not to discuss your pay with anyone.

Pays minimum wage (below average logistics company standard) high rate for both employees and managers turnover. You will meet new employee and managers every week. And you will see people leave often. No training provider. Poor equipment. Employee are left to fend for themselves with issues

Ovral working with this company was not a good experience. The number one concern is they under pay you as a contractor, for all the work that is required from you. Theres no opportunity for growth. The employee's working for this company from Mississauga location treats you like garbage and no respect. They make it very clear that you are easily replaceable. This not a good work environment to be in. It was a very bad experience for me and also other contractors feels the sameway but afraid to speak their mind. Some like myself will just walk away from the company and some will stay put up with their unfairness. 

xpo is a great place to work the management is very well the one that I work with. the pay is okay it could be better but it good base on how much vehicle you have in the company then you won't see the money if it one vehicle. they base you getting work off the app and score not good cause it your not understanding the app then you can't get work and no work mean you can't support your family and pay bill I disagree with that part

Csr and dispatch team were great easy to work with .
But management sucks really bad at the office in Montreal ,Lachine . 2 new managers both hated in the office , extremelly fake will smille in your face but wont tell you youre wrong doings , then fire you seemingly out of the blue , 7 people quit in a period of 5 weeks because of the new managers and because of the Vice president of directors totall a**holee !!! Talk and curse to their employee and talk bad behind your back, makes you feel uncomfortable . Would not recommend
