I learned that there is alot of people that give donations for good causes to help others. I felt the hardest part of telemarketing is making your quota expected for the day to get your bonuses, most enjoyable part was getting campaines ready for people with disabilities to see them smile......

Direct marketing (via cold-calling a random selection of generated/bought numbers & previous donors) to "raise money for charities", shadily hustling people for donations, at a rate of which <10 - 20% of it goes to the actual charities themselves. It's hardcore sales-oriented work, very competitive and incentives-driven .

I started as a outbound call center agent to B2B and Residential.

I then hired and trained new staff. I provided third party verification.
I opened up new call centers and trained the admin and management staff.

This job is repetitive and tedious. If a client is convinced to make a donation, or purchase a ticket to an event they are them pelted with an onslaught of calls from this data marketing firm. The clients quickly realize there mistake and sometimes take it out on the marketers.


Get people to give donations for different companies over the phone.  The money was used to help buy things for Children. You worked in a room with a lot of people but you worked by yourself. We had to calm anger people down and example everything. I like it that the hours were the same each week.






I learned a lot from working at Xentel DM over the years. Was able to learn a lot through my fellow workers. I loved the interaction amongst our group.

Great place to work, loved the laid-back atmosphere.  Selling tickets and items for the Shriners.  You really got to excel at workin g on your own and making a creating a script that works for you to make sales.

At Xentel DM you are a body in a chair.  It is a sales driven environment.  If you are consistently good, you are treated well.  If your productivity dips, so does management's esteem of you.
