Working at Forever 21 was a good first job experience. I met many amazing people and learned how to provide costumers with good service. Training at the Vaughn Mills location was good, however when I relocated to Yorkdale I found that the managers were disorganized. For the whole eight months I worked there I never got direct deposit, I sometimes worked up to midnight, sometimes they would schedule too many workers at once and other times they would not schedule enough making closing difficult.  They then starting giving me less and less hours that I stopped calling in to check for them and after two months without being scheduled I got two shifts but never answered because my phone was being repaired at the time and got in trouble for it.

Yorkdale is fast paced and constantly changing environment full of friendly and motivated people. Everyone works together as a cohesive teem and is dedicated to getting the Mall to a standard all can be proud of. Yorkdale is also committed to customer service and always puts the customer first. 
I have truly enjoyed working for Yorkdale and know that it will be here for many years to come. There was always something new and exciting happening and have gone through many expansions over the years.

Note orders and serve coffee, food and beverages to guests in a timely fashion 
Make coffee using a number of brewing methods such as pour over, espresso and cold brew 
Open and close the coffee station 
Assist in menu setting and determining coffee of the week regularly 
Communicate with customers, note their preferences and take feedback 
Perform cashiering and inventory management tasks

The store is right beside the entrances and exit and near subway station as well. That means a lot of people usually order at this store as it is also in the middle of other big stores. Extremely busy and it’s rare to see that there’s no line up in here. Work was fun if you work with good people too but all in all this place gives me enough reason to not work in malls again. 

A typical day at work would be getting number of guests  coming to the desk  for information, direction, purchase gift cards, and more. I cannot think of any complaints or hard parts of the job. But I would say that the parking situation around the mall as well as the lot I would say is still an ongoing issue. The most enjoyable part of the  job for is that we are in the shopping centre! :)

Yorkdale is a fast paced, friendly and clean place to work. The customers are always looking for something, friendly and always on the go. The stores are always higher end and never dull. Mall is always kept clean and in order.

It was my first job and it was a great experience. Learned to be a team player and a leader. Management was great to work with and the most enjoyable part of the job is the people I work with.

I learned a lot of costumer service and team work skills at my retail job. The mall can get busy during holiday hours so you learn how to work in a fast paced environment.

was a nice place to work if you were part time with flexible hours, but they're very strict with full time employees if you need to take any time off for serious matters.

Fast paced work environment. Modern and sleek mall, attracts many customers from different walks of life. A great stepping stone into future endeavors.
