incredibly positive experience. The team is supportive, welcoming, and genuinely invested in both personal and professional growth. The workplace culture encourages collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning, which makes it easy to feel valued and motivated. Leadership is approachable and creates an environment where employees feel heard and appreciated. I’ve also loved being part of a company that promotes wellness, balance, and community, both for staff and clients. The experience has helped me grow professionally while working alongside kind and talented people who are always willing to support one another. Overall has been provided a healthy, encouraging, and inspiring work environment that I’m truly grateful to have been part of.

The typical day at YYOGA included daily operations of greeting, registering, and faciitating the yoga classes in the studio on a timely basis. The community was very supportive and friendly and there was great camaraderie between the staff and guests. The only issue I would have to be upper management as the head office is located in Vancouver and it is geographically and socially very disconnected from the Toronto community.

You would think a company like this would be positive and welcoming but it was the complete opposite. The role was underpaid. The managers are not welcoming or understanding. They also lack compassion, don’t train properly, and have unrealistic expectations. There is no culture within the job. You can’t trust the management. Grateful I no longer work here. I would avoid applying for a job at this company there are several other amazing companies within the Vancouver area to work at! 

Daily yoga classes, independent guiding of classes, instruct all levels, choose movement and mental focus, choose appropriate music, facilitate practice growth over time, meet with students on an individual basis to inspire their personal goals as well as know their health history to suggest modifications

Wonderful community and friendly staff! I love working here, and I find all the managers and instructors to be the most hard working and kind people I've come across. Tasks include customer service and cleaning the studio - nothing too difficult and the salary reflects that pretty accurately (min wage). As long as you have a strong work ethic, you'll love working here too!

I absolutely love working here. We are a community of compassionate individuals, from all walks of life. It's like a second family and I look forward to my shifts when I am surrounded by the energy given off when people come to feel better. It's a peaceful place but at times we definitely have a good laugh!

This is an awesome part time side gig, but is definitely not sustainable for full time work as the pay is low, and the way the shifts are spread it is tough to get to 40 hours a week. I have been working a couple short shifts here a week for several years now and still love the environment and the team. The management is awesome!

YYoga was a great place to grow into my yoga practice and learn how to be a genuine and professional customer service consultant.The most enjoyable part of the job was the community of people I was able to be a part of.

Simply the best workplace, leave feeling refreshed each time because of the people. Kindest management team ever. Wage could be a little higher but quality of community sometimes makes up for it.

Yyoga is an amazing place because of the companies views and morals. The community is unlike any other. Everyone is kind and welcoming and easy to connect with. They only pay minimum wage and it is hard to advance in your position.
