Since I decided almost seven years ago to come and live in Canada and have worked on several companies, Yamana is #1 not only because all what I learned, the wonderful friends I made and excellent colleagues I had the pleasure to work with but I liked very much the culture which allow everyone to continuously interact with senior management and learn a lot from them. Also, I had the great opportunity to travel to Brazil, Argentina and Chile allowing me to stop in Mexico and spend the weekend with my family! This kindly gestures you don’t have them everywhere!

Great for getting your foot in the door and learning field responsibilities from labour, machine operators, geological techs, to assistant managers. It's not a small company so maybe its better in Toronto or other projects throughout the company. Do not expect to have the chance to move around within the company.

I'm usually pretty busy at work which is good because it makes my day goes by faster. Since this is a big company, i do learn a lot from them; such as how to coordinate meetings, confidential documents and many more. 

I had no problem working with most of my fellow co-workers since we get along pretty well. I really enjoy working for this company because they give very flexible hours and they let me use my own method to complete my tasks.

Working for a mineral company has its ups and downs. When gold is up, you get a good bonus. When it's down, people get laid off. Most of the IT management was decent but they got rid of most of it. What's left is people who've been there for years who actually know what they're doing vs. jamokes who are there because of friends who can't tell a Cat5 cable from a cat o' nine tails.

I worked at Yamana Gold for a numbers of years and I had a great boss and worked with a wonderful team. Senior management is very nice and approachable.  This is a diverse company with many cultural employees.  The best part about working at Yamana is the people.  Enjoyed working there!

Was a great place to work and mostly positive environment before sold to Pan Am Silver Corp.  However, there was no opportunity for growth in the role I was in.  I cannot comment going forward with new company.

I was comfortable and learnt new software and loved and accepted as a part of a team . given more responsibilities. Treated very nicely. Very nice and good people to work with. Only in the beginning it was a bit pressure but later on it was smooth and comfortable to work.

Friendly all around atmosphere, great management and employees. Very convenient location, right in the heart of Toronto (Union station). Stable and progressive employee environment.

Got great exposure to work under many projects. I was invoked in developing solutions for new upcoming project. My worked invoked lot of research work, performing market reviews and presenting strategy analysis to the project team.

a typical day for me can be is coming to reception at 830am answering all incoming calls. Greeting visitors, and any other verious admin work throughout the day
