Youth Central

Youth central is a volunteering organization, that helps the community. It is a very fun experience where you learn new things and encounter many life learning experiences. At Youth Central you help out at community events, senior centres, events focusing on social issues, and you also work with children. It is very easy to find projects compatible with your time table and location. Its easy and quick to sign up for new projects.

Its not really a job, Its helping keep the community running. I don't treat it as a job because taking care of your community is important.  I really enjoy volunteering with this organization. Youth central doesn't give salaries but gives us volunteer hours.

All of the team leaders are very nice and infomative. I enjoy meeting all differents types of people and participatign in all the different events in Calg

It is a wonderful opportunity to be in the community and try different things. You have to be super flexible in trying new experiences and comfortable in leading a group of youth through that.

After being a volunteer I became a team lead. It is a great place to meet new people, gain leadership skills, learn conflict management, learn to be organized and take responsibility. You can trade and pickup more shifts

A fun group to work on projects with, as well as help others for the greater good. Nice opportunity to surround yourself with people, meet new friends, and attend new and local events.

Small and mighty team that care deeply for the work they do. They also care for you as an employee, and work as a team to get things done. My manager taught me what a manager could be.

An incredible organization where you feel truly a part of a great team. Wonderful work-life balance. Great office culture where you are respected and valued. The youth are also great to work with too.

The leaders were very nice and the events were fun! I liked that you could choose which events to volunteer at. Sometimes the leaders were friends with other volunteers and left people out but other than that it was fun
