In the Nutrition services you would serve food to the residents and socialize with them and help them with cutting their food or getting them drinks and such. Then you would wash all of your dishes then put the dishes away and then go home.

In Reception you say morning prayer, help the nuns, residents, and staff with administrative work they may need done. Work a switchboard make sure residents do not leave the building unattended and greet family members or friends as they enter and exit the building.
It is very rewarding to work with the elderly and help them out.

I feel blessed to be working in such a top notch facility ... great benefits, pay and training ... it’s a very fast paced, busy place to work, we are given lots of support from the unit managers and other staff. It can be heavy, and hectic as it’s long term care but, it’s also very rewarding. They really take care of their employees and the union is awesome .. love my job.. and the patients we care for.

People working in this place are very nice and you will always see smile on their faces. Never you will experience here at Youville that you are not important and taken for granted. We treat all the residents and visitors here as our own family. We meet all the standard procedure of a long term care facility by providing excellent service and full security of the place.

Enjoyable residents, resident's family and co-workes to work with. We are a big family where everyone try to do the best for each resident.  In regards to the management, I think they have to try to work with us for at least one day and maybe they could feel how we feel.

I looked after elderly man who couldn't feed himself  so I had to feed him and give him his medication and change his bed and give him a bath in the morning and feed him breakfast

No comment not waste my energy  management no good disrespectful  never listen just disaplines you for no reason what so ever im done with that place nothing but bad experiences 

Youville helped me develop the skills I need to build a great portfolio, My manager is great and has experience with people and works with integrity.  The clients are great people and the interaction is memorable.

It was a good place to work with elderly people and you will learn more about how to care for elderly patients in the nursing home they give them a bath and take them to the toilet if they needed to go to the bathroom

Don’t waste your time. You as an individual are worth more than compromising your ethics and values to become a cog in a machine that will actively hate you for helping it.
