I worked here for a few years. Firstly I would like to say that I worked with some of the best people I've ever worked with while at this company. It was also a great place for learning, as I entered the position with a background in skincare knowledge and still learned quite a lot while there.
That aside, I was always promised more hours that never came for one reason or another, despite finishing "challenges" and winning prizes for high sales and great makeup appointments.
There were even trips won, but then suddenly we couldn't go on them and it became a manager only thing when it wasn't announced as such. I actually had to get a second job because I couldn't even afford the gas to get to and from work anymore while paying bills. For this I was rewarded by maybe getting 1 shift a week, sometimes not being on the schedule at all and being told that my shifts at my other job were too conflicting even though I made sure that my normal hours wouldn't be affected by the new job. 
I quit in the end because I felt like the place where I had co workers that I genuinely liked and had a great working environment to start changed so drastically in a few short years. I feel like I also need to say that no one that I was originally there with works there anymore either, and I feel like that should tell you everything you need to know about the place. Not one person.

My experience with Yves Rocher was a positive. The training for the 'Beauty Advisor' position was compact, involved and abundant, including alot of theory components on learning EACH product inside and out. I was able to fall in love with an organic, France-born skincare line for affordable pricing and loved being an ambassador for this company. It helped me gain experience with skincare retailing and building confidence. The location I was at (Scarborough Town Center) was their retail-only location. Often only had one person working with little overlap time between switched shifts. The schedule, general store upkeep/appearance and uniform were very strict, and often caused conflict between management and staff. Overall, good experience and would work with them in the future.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The incentives and management was great. I love how we were able to how growth within the company and your job is not only one thing you were able to learn more about the products, how they are made, the ingredients etc. I love the companies transparency with the employees and the opportunities to increase sales. My favourite part is the people I worked with its such a healthy and kind working environment everyone supports each other and your never alone with questions. Management was also great with keeping us updated about whats happening in store and any events or new items that were to come. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The work flow during the holidays other than that everything else was great. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Healthy and very supportive working environment.

This was a calling centre. I had to answer phone calls from clients in Canada and the US who wanted to order beauty products. We had to take orders, answer inquiries, manage complaints and make sales while taking orders. The target was to deal with client under 5 minutes while provide best customer care.
I've learned how to deal with customers and their different personality; adjust to each client.
I had the change to work with great supervisors who really took the time to coach me and encourage me to persevere.
The hardest part of the job was the routine. We always did the same thing and so I didn't feel stimulated.
The most enjoyable part of the job was learning about new beauty products, how they worked and the goods they could do.

The company is really attentive to their employees you get free gifts often and a lot of oportunities i love working here and my team is so nice 100% reccomend

Probably when there is contests otherwise its not

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is excellent and the company overall very attentive to its employees

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
serve clients fulling the shelves cleaning and a lot of laughs

I loved my job at Yves Rocher, unfortunately the good products and amazing customers did not outweigh the poor management. The store manager has no prior skincare knowledge to being hired so the rest of the staff had to pick up the slack in product recommendation, skin analysis, etc. Watch out for the manager at this location, she bad mouths employees, other managers and customers; she will also take off to attend family BBQ's but will not work with you for the time off you request unless it will benefit her.

A typical work day looks like a competition. You are constantly competing against your colleagues and in a good way where you push each other to do better but in a toxic way. 
The management team is toxic, they do not care about their employee. They treat you like you don’t matter. The manager makes unnecessary and snarky comments on your personal life. 
Workplace culture — it is quite toxic no employee likes the manager n the directrice. We only show up because we need the money. Most of us do not want to be there. 


It was great experience here as the discount on products and monthly gratis is generous but district management needs much improvement.
If you have the right store-level manager, balancing personal life and work life is good.
Overall, the company could improve on selling techniques...not all customers appreciate being asked 3 different questions the moment they step into the store.

•	Supervised staff to ensure store policies were being adhered to in the absence of Manager; responsible for opening and closing the store

I had an amazing experience.Im glad I went to this store to do my COOP because I had the chance to greet many customers and help them get what they need. I also like that their products are natural and its all about self care in the right healthy way.
