Worked there for almost 3 years! I loved my coworkers, the work was good, I enjoyed what i did and never had a long day or didn't look forward to work. But, the upper management is just bad. I've seen so many people come and go over the years that have no clue what's even going on enough to govern over the actual tradesmen on the floor. The worst part of working there is their "point system" they basically don't even tell people about until it's already affecting you. You gain points for lates or absences and after you gain enough, you're out. No matter your position, experience, efficiency, seniority. It's just bye bye. It doesn't support people with kids or actual things happening in their lives. They make it very clear to all they their expendable. The pay is also not as good as you could make anywhere else doing a specific trade. But it's nice just going to one place instead of traveling all over and overtime is very relaxed and up to you when and how you want it (if you want it). Also, don't fall for the "apprenticeship program" it basically doesn't exist

Worked there from the start up, first batch of employees. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Massively disorganized. Hierarchy always hazy. Pay was pathetic to the amount of work load.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
What do you mean "culture?" There is no such thing as culture in there. Work environment is..... everyone is on his own. Bootlickers thrive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go to work in the morning, do your assigned duties diligently, ALWAYS watch your back, get cited for "offences" you don't even know is coming.

It started well, the people on the floor are great, generally good at what they do and easy to get along with. But upper management doesn't listen to employees. Wages are very low in consideration of the work required. Design is rushed so it's often flawed and repaired after the fact, causing many delays which are implied to be the workers fault. No work life balance, as schedule changes often. The best employees are often the most beat down, stressed and unhappy.

Recession proof. There is an enormous need for the product

A lot of fovortism happening  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I would say they try but do not succeed with making the workers happy. I have heard the word toxic thrown around as well

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Like any place else a lot of repetitive work

Strong Management vs. Workers feel to the atmosphere.  When issues are brought up with around safety concerns and company policies, people are given the run around and continuously handed off to the next manager in a never ending circle that goes no where.  They underpaid there licenced trade workers so much it is insulting,  and everyone is paid differently.  When workers try to talk about it they are warned to keep quite or else they will be brought into HR.

Z modular underpaid everyone that worked for the whether your a red seal or just starting out. They lied to everyone about an apprenticeship potential they were promised during the interview. All of management is just out to get you whereas most of them shouldn't be in the position their in for reason I won't mention. If ur looking for bull suspension and low pay than z mod is the place for you

At first I thought this place would be OK. 
It is loud, lots of steel and construction noise.
There are well-established cliques within the organization.
Cameras are EVERYWHERE, supposedly to watch production but effectively used to spot "infractions" if you are not part of the elite.

Supervisors can knock over scaffolding and walk away laughing, but if you nudge some obscure object the safety "police" are all over you writing you up.

Basic taks day to day
I learned a little bit about drywall finishing 
The management is awful careless and don't show they care about the employees treats people like a number 
Workplace culture isn't really a thing.
Hardest part of the job was dealing with abusive management 
Enjoyable parts include doing the work that you may want to kind of learn or do in general.

This startup company has the support of a well-established company behind it. As a result, they are able to offer benefits, education programs and other supports not always available with other startups. This company has a great culture: the management are supportive and people are friendly. I can't say enough good things about Z Modular!

You can be written up based on a lie or as scapegoat even when line lead admit to lie.Workplace culture is one of being belittled as well manipulated.
