The company has been growing and the management is not able to control it, you can see people being hired and a few months later leaving, the turnaround is very high. Many of the employees seem to be stressed and burned out because of many issues in the application and working long hours without any compensation, you can notice the discontent in many people.  The management acknowledges the problems but either they don't know how to fix them or they don't care, one time one manager told me that the turnaround they have is normal for the size of the company. There's a lot of politics that get into the day to day activities, some people just want to please the owners without owning or caring about the issues, other just care to move up the ladder. The management has changed the organizational hierarchy several times in less than a year trying to find out what works.
The hardest part is that no matters how hard you work you don't get recognized.
The nice thing is that most people want to do their best and you can find very good friends, but that mostly on the personal level.

I had a terrible experience as an intern. I was not given any work to do that could be considered a contributor to professional development. Instead, I was given exploitative tasks, such as transcribing audio, which should not be assigned to an unpaid intern. Long story short, I was told that I would be supported financially and left as an unpaid intern, although the other intern was paid despite his inferior work experience and level of education. Avoid it like the plague

Remote setting is great for sure

deadlines but nothing different than other software companies

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At my team its pretty great as my manager is Fantastic

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pretty chill, just working from home and trying to deliver best results

No 1 Toxic workplace . Full of gossip and chaos, people who are toxic by birth can apply,  just to mention 
Have a Extra health insurance ready if you still looking for pittance salary and a shameful company on your resume.

Lacks a lot of leadership.
Is too disorganized.
Don't pay for overtime or on-call support.
High Rotation.
You can see that the other employees aren't happy.
They love to have too many meetings and not solving anything in the reunions.
The culture is to try to fix the problems no matter how or how long it will take, because of that many people end up working long hours.

Management does not respect your opinion.
Be prepared to work long hours with no compensation
The hardest part of the job was watching my boss drown in manager meetings
The most enjoyable part of the job was my co workers and leaving at the end of the day

I was in application support team and it was a great team, I wouldn't say the same for the entire company but my team was engaging and had a nice manager with great leadership skill. The company however had some major shift and high turn over rate during the time I was working.

The Company was great. 
As for the environment, was a struggle and when taken to HR things were not always resolved but covered up slightly.

For employees to feel better about where they work ZE PowerGroup need to work on how their employees well being is.

Great exposure to different industries and learning experience.  Learned about commodities and data management.  The most enjoyable part of the job is doing research and attending events.

This place provides great opportunities to new immigrants to get Canadian experience. However, not a long term place to develop career as management is not professional
