The Mississauga facility has gone through several transitions and has left it with no real culture of any kind.  Employees appear to do the minimum amount of work, put in their time and wish they could work anywhere else.  Lots of coffee drinking, socializing in the hallways and extended lunches. The environment is non trusting and politically driven by managers with little back bone to support anything. Little or no team work.  You will exist in a silo.  Mostly influenced by incompetent remote managers in the US who are motivated to expand their empire, this facility has no identity.  The managerial style is one of intimidation and setting expectations so high you will rarely meet expectations. Don't expect to have your ideas listened to.  Do as you are asked and you will be criticized regardless.  Working here will be a low point in your career.

You are on your own. Extensively influenced by incompetent managers in the US who are only motivated to expand their empire. The managerial style is uncomfortable and intimidating. Expectations are so high you cannot achieve them. Don't expect to have your ideas listened to. Working here will make anywhere else look good..

Well on my way into my 2nd year with about the same experience except I am a temp with no movement to making me perm. 
Quick to blame with no interest of what led up to the problem.

Working with co-workers is quite easy. 

They seem to have a healthy budget for purchasing,.not for traveling.

Offered to support other tasks and team members inside my group (and learn something along the way) outside my immediate tasks but management quickly said no.
Offer to do other tasks (and again learn something along the way) but management said no.
I think I see a pattern here :)

Getting in is tough. Typical contract positions are thru TCS or equivalent.  Mississauga positions require multiple level interviews. Most dynamic positions are with Barbara H-D while cost reduction programs require a stronger PM role managing multiple programs at the same time. A more permanent role requires going thru Holtsville, NY HR as Mississauga the HR is more of a welcome to Zebra outfit.  Good luck.

These people need to understand this. If you want to tell someone everythng about what they should do, you can hire a dumb parrot! There's no need to have a two-month long interview process to select candidates. 

You work on ALL weekends, and the worst thing is that you don't any recognition for it. 

Literally no work-life balance! Cannot believe that this company is publicly traded. Pathetic management!

Hard to pass time as little work and disorganized

Psion Teklogix has not been a good place to work for over 10 years.
Nobody cares about anything but the bottom line, employees are expendable ....... especially the older ones.
Everyone lives in fear of loosing their jobs at any given moment ... there is no loyalty to employees or suppliers.

Flexible hours and enjoy working in the lab.  Manager is very understanding.  Workers are friendly and helpful.  My duties are looking at the schematic drawing, come with test plan and test the product and board level.  The hardest part was not enough resources to test with limited resources.  Mostly enjoyable part is recording data.

an IT Company into production of real estate magazines called propertyfinder. getting leads from clients to subscribe in such a dull economy is highly challenging. But meeting people is a thing of pleasure. A growing company, the management trying their best to compete in the market.

Small dynamic team who require me to be multidimensional and multi tasking. Have the opportunity to learn and exercise different skillset including team lead management,  project management, sales & engineering suport, service, channel/partner management.
Had fun and close teamwork group spirit with this company.
