As a sales professional with 9+ years experience, I am absolutely blown away with my experience at Zeno.

I was recruited in the spring of 2023 to join the direct marketing team in Calgary as a Community Sustainability Liaison. This position required me to attend daily meetings which were educational and motivational. My role was to set appointments for homeowners to meet with Zeno's consultants about installing solar solutions at their home. Yes, I went door-to-door. However, when you're "selling" a free assessment on their home for solar, it's super easy.

I applied myself, had a fantastic summer and even got promoted to become a consultant for the fall! I was supported by management the entire way and was given world class training. Since then, I have helped many households in Calgary go solar.

I can happily say this is the best work experience I've had in my life. With so many companies getting into the solar space, I am confident Zeno will be leading the way to a sustainable future in Canada.

If you have a chance to join the team, DO IT!

When I was hired, the company initially appeared promising, boasting strong core values and expectations. However, over the course of my tenure, certain shortcomings in the management became apparent, suggesting a need for potential replacements. There seems to be a prevalent in-office clique, and individuals who do not conform or prioritize bending over backwards for them are at risk of termination and being labeled problematic. I advise exercising caution when considering an application with this company, unless the idea of being part of a clique takes precedence over professionalism and a commitment to delivering quality work.

Everyone is respectful and friendly within this company. Everyone takes feedback seriously. They have Team Building events that offer a fun experience with co-workers out of the office to increase team morale. Workplace Culture is great. People often bring in Homemade meals to share with everyone. There is a pingpong table that is for employee use. 

Zeno Renewables as a company is growing in size relatively quickly with a new office recently opened in the greater Toronto area. Be prepared for growing pains as more teams, processes and employees are added.

It is good place to learn, excise your skill and initiatives. Good people and good policies. Everybody want to be kind and loyal.

Claiming your mileage could be had to keep the track of you are not the type that like penning down

Be kind, be loyal and efficiency 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and on the roof, sometime you forget to go for lunch

What is the best part of working at the company?
One of the better companies to work. They try to put safety first.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Stress? What stress, pretty laid back staff.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Safety and customer service are priority one. Making sure quality work is done and employees take pride in their work.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get to site fill out safety paperwork,  talk to the customer and install all necessary equipment within a time frame.

Working at Zeno is a positive job from field guys to office guys to overall work life balance.  Quality of work is a strong point that certains standards must be met. Active job involves lots of moving and lifting. Safety is the first standard, when it comes to working at heights, all the nessiciary precautions are laid out and used everyday. Good workplace culture with very reasonable timelines. Room for advancement within teams.

The company's growth has mirrored my own professional development, and it has been rewarding to contribute to its mission. I truly enjoy collaborating with colleagues across all departments, from the office to the field, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. Being able to start as an apprentice, even though I am a Temporary Worker

I landed in a great team, which I enjoyed most of my tenure years without a dull moment. Stree-free at work

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very supportive, and PMs are very lenient.

A typical day includes planning, creating content, and coordinating campaigns. You've learned digital marketing, teamwork, and project management. Management is supportive and collaborative. The hardest part is keeping up with trends, but the most enjoyable is seeing the impact of campaigns.

Management was really good, supportive and showed that they cares. Field supervisor needs to learn how to properly talk to employees and be less condescending. Also inappropriate comments behind close doors about clients should be kept away from the work place.
