I recently had an interview for the Site-Supervisor position with this construction company, and I must say that I was highly disappointed with their unprofessionalism. During the interview, I wore a formal coat to make a good impression, but to my surprise, the interviewer told me that the site supervisor doesn't dress like this. This comment left me feeling confused and disrespected.

It is unacceptable for a company to make such a comment during an interview. It shows that they do not value professionalism and have a lack of respect for their employees too. As an experienced Civil Engineer, I expect to be treated with respect and to be judged based on my qualifications and experience, not my attire.

Furthermore, this comment also raises concerns about the company's work culture. If the site supervisor is not dressing professionally, it could indicate that the company does not prioritize safety and quality on their job sites. This is a red flag for anyone considering working for this company.

Overall, my experience with this construction company was disappointing and unprofessional. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reputable and respectful employer.

Its a beautiful company that established early 2000 and a good history of projects completion. However the project managers dont support and provide site crew with enough information in time and accurately. HR doesnt give you company tools to work efficiently as well. I couldnt join any meetings with client and engineering, I used my personal phone to call trades and followups, couldnt check my email because of authentication issue. I was on your own at site and didnt receive any support. I believe the managers should improve themself abit because the company can not longer afford any job delays and lose reputation in industry. 

I worked for this company for a few months, most coworkers were pleasant but so underpaid by the company. 
No real training, just some papers to fill in.
Very mediocre pay.
A very bad and unfair policy when it comes to using your own car for work. Utter exploitation.
The management is a total mess, a third-world country approach brought to Canada.
A huge lack of leadership.
Most people there are desperately waiting for the opportunity to get out of there
The quality of work done by the company is the least you can have.
If your career counts for you, then look elsewhere and save yourself some time and money

Sporadic oversight by management - they disappear for month(s) without proper support organized for employees, then will micromanage if client complains
Mismanagement - wrong people in wrong positions. Projects not allocated based on knowledge or skill, but friendship with owner
Unqualified people hired at very low pay in an effort to save money - but ends up costing more money as projects linger and fail
Project-overload for many employees meaning they cannot adequately manage their sites and all sites fall behind


CEO's are great, however big flaw in management - management does not bring company or people together in workplace, Very uptight working environment, micromanaging. Inexperienced in communication or bringing a uplifting positive change on people or environment, very awkward to deal with.

When they hire you, you hear lots of nice sentences, but during job no one support you, encourage you or appreciate you. They omit bonuses just after Christmas and told us we didn't take profits that it is unbelievable.  They don't pay labors that made me angry and after I report boss, I  got lay off. It is a family company so be nice with all Turkish who work there.

I worked in Zgemi 1 years. 
They are really supporting who wants grow up on their career. 

I saw many people that even they started lowest position on ZGemi but by the time they became experienced and they are very good postion on Zgemi or another companies.

 I never forget this company and how much education they put on me.

What they are trying to achieve looks good from outside but it's like a sour candy inside. The people are nice but not everyone can be trusted. Construction in general is stressful but if there are proper procedures and the right knowledgeable people, then it should go smooth. But not in Zgemi.  The balance of quality, time and cost is skewed unfairly. 

Company is incapable of running a crew. Project and hiring manager has no clue in hiring professionals because they un professional themselves. If you have a family that relies on your salary for subsistence.. this os not the company to work for.  Beware..

The top management is not aware of whats happening and need to pay more attention and stop believing the intermediate managers. Its a lot of work and remuneration is bare minimum
