Some knowledgable people but way too few. The management are rarely seen and are rarely from the industry. The furnishings are old and if you need a new chair or desk you get a used, old replacement. You rarely see office people to train you. Employee morale is terrible. You will be paid poorly in comparison to other jobs of the same market with promises that it will be better after your 90 day trial. The increase isn't worth waiting for. You are paid a bit better if your a outside rep. But again not worth the grief. I can't think of a worse place to work. Don't waste your time here. Having this company on your resume is more of a detriment then an asset. Keep looking. This is one of those jobs that you will wish you didn't take. Unless you are absolutely desperate Having no job is still better than this job.

Great place to work; management and peers are very easy to get along with. Work/Home life balance is awesome as they are open Monday-Friday.

Typically more busy during the spring/summer months; Christmas time can be slow.

With an array of product categories; you are constantly learning from others and even customers on a daily basis.

Management is great; only downfall is communication between departments. Often there are struggles between office and warehouse staff; but usually get resolved quite quickly.

Being a family run business they don't offer a pension plan or profit sharing; but it would be great if they did.

What is the best part of working at the company?
To be honest  meeting interesting characters and fulfilling  my goals 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Cold weather the operation in it self could and should make a couple of improvements 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fun enthusiastic  it what you make of it  my experience with this family of people was awesome work detail safety are the requirements to move forward good luck have a good future with CAn_Cell (kevin)

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Communication for my self overall I go home with an achievement every day which leads to self esteem there is no typical day  every day brings new challenges

I was only there as a temp covering some vacation time ( thats why scored job security/advancement low) 

But the few weeks i was there, i never had a bad day. Everyone there was understanding and every helpful if had questions, never didn't feel included as part of the team even though i was only filling in and nor did i feel like i was chained to my desk, as long as i had the headset i could go help somewhere else in the building. 

My only complaint is it was kind of slow, so i spent most days looking for something to do and usually had no problem finding something

I enjoyed working witht he other employees but the office was pretty outdated and needs some renovations. My adding machine was probably 20 years old and there were no others. If I was permanent, I'm sure they would have gotten me a new one though. Management was knowledgable and the computer systems were easy to learn but there didn't seem to be enough work for the position I filled.

Easy-going, laid-back environment! It is a bit cliquey between departments on a small level, but overall, everyone usually gets along well together. 

There has been quite a fair bit of turnover in the office over the years; but we've settled down into a great group of people.

I've learnt a lot in my years here so far, in regard to all the many layers that go into building a structure and keeping that structure secure and safe.

All in all I was happy there. Overworked but happy. Then after three months was up my review was postponed for three weeks while the manager went on holidays. Then it was further delayed until I again requested a review. Then I was put on re-evaluation for two weeks. I never did get the raise. I was fired for reasons that are not clear to me and they now advertise my job at $2.00 more per hour to start.

This is a Family run company. They manage the company and they may not have the experience or business sense to run it as efficiently as it could be. They have a few long term loyal employees but the rest they do not pay well and because of this the turnover is getting out of hand.

Manufacturing Plant for Cellulose Insulation...ensured daily product that was manufactured was entered into inventory, ensured repair orders were entered for insulation blowing machines..ensured shipments of insulation via several trucking companies across Alberta.

I really enjoyed working at Can-Cell Industries. They hired to many staff at once so my job was not secure as a result. I did not get to learn as much as I hoped due to the limited time I spent there.
