Retailors  in partnership with Nike. Disorganized, unethical and very Toxic work environment. Zero training upon hiring for new store location. Micro managing every aspect of store operations with no assistance in training or development. HR and Head Office non existent to help with continued employee complaints and concerns about current unethical behaviours. Salaried employees required to work overtime to save on wage costs so less part time employees on the sales floor, which results in salaried employees working excessive hours, impossible to cover 28,000 square feet being under staffed with the expectation of providing premium customer service while 50+ part time employees get zero work hours. Work schedules inconsistent, wrong, outside of availability and posted at last minute. No work life balance. Commission based wage with unattainable sales goals for part time employees. Sell, push, add on, build that sale. Mandatory expensive Nike uniform head to toe without employee discount until after 3 month probation.

Great brand & products.

Management is clique-ish, gives you a ton of responsibilities but no training, expects you to know & do everything without letting u know their expectations. Known to cut your job before probation is over after using you to cover seasonal surge (but not mentioned during interview). 

Salaried staff pushed to work overtime (w/o OT) to cover for sending PT staff home (to cut wages), but expect top notch customer experience and meet sales targets. No support fr HQ. Systems are from last era, all use Excel, crashes 99% of the time, archaic. No investment in back-end ops. There's just too much cons to list... 

Some fun and friendly people, but also a lot of toxic backstabbing people that steal sales as it's commission based. Management is pretty good but you're often expected to do way more in comparison to other stores and you are given daily + weekly constructive criticism. It can be as pressuring as you want to work there, depending on how ambitious you are. If you are just there to coast and get minimum wage, it's just a typical retail job and isn't too tiring. If you're there to maximize commission, it's insanely tiring and non-sustainable. Managers should not be expecting so much from part-time students and they should understand that some of us are only here for commission and nothing else.

My time at Retailors was mostly challenging due to the workplace culture. While there were briefly some good moments, managers often engaged in verbal abuse, gossip, and bullying, creating a hostile environment. Favouritism and gatekeeping were common, making it difficult to grow or feel valued. The job felt like a dead end with no real opportunities for advancement, and toxic customers added to the stress. Overall, the constant negativity and lack of support made the experience mentally and emotionally draining. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a positive or professional work environment.

the manager engraves in your brain that this is a premium store and everything has to be perfect. They’ll have you refolding the clothes about 50 times just to keep you busy.

IF YOU HAVE MONTHLY BILLS DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. They have shown time and time that they enjoy playing with their staff's money and have no empathy. This company is only good for the store discounts you receive. I cannot fathom how management in the head office got their positions as I have witnessed how toxic and disorganized they run their stores.

The company itself is ok. The company culture was a tad toxic at times (just like anywhere, I guess), and the expectations for the job were unrealistic. There’s a strange expectation to work above and beyond especially from a company that continuously preaches “work-life balance”. The word “premium” kinda lost all meaning, and they liked to treat part time staff as if they were replaceable. 

The teams are great, energy is high. For the job itself, it’s one of those “everyone does everything” jobs but there’s never enough training. If you’re flexible and good at improvising and figuring things out on your own, you’ll do well
