Working at WirelessETC was a great experience. The atmosphere, team, managers, district managers, and everything else was great. As someone who has sold cellphones and other mobile devices for most of his sales career, WirelessETC will always remain my favorite. Their compensation structure is 2nd to none and because you're in a Costco, you're not getting regular retail customers. You're getting Costco members. Building relationships and meeting multiple business owners/execs is an everyday part of the job. When you're making a great impression helping these people out, they will bring referrals to you. This job gives you the chance to really get paid out on your hard work. I didn't feel any greediness from my coworkers at all. We all always helped out each other and had a gentleman's agreement when it came to sales. We could trust each other. There are always great contests and management really takes care of you. Not just your normal manager, but those above. You do have to stand all day so it is important to invest in shoes that are good for your health and comfy. It is also important to note it will get crazy busy come holiday season. Be prepared to grind non-stop for hours at a time. And if you're not prepared to give it your all, then you are not taking advantage of the phenomenal opportunity given to you. In the holidays when I was working constantly for many hours, I didn't have much of a job/life balance. But as someone with no children I didn't mind working all those extra hours. Be prepared to go above and beyond for all your clients and if you're lucky enough to be hired at this place, make sure you show how grateful you are for the opportunity.

You make the amount of work you put in which is rewarding, and motivating.  

Advancement is excellent within the company as they offer plenty of training and only advance within.  

Job security is there if you hit your numbers.  Having to hit certain protection plan plateaus can be difficult some months based on the demographic; however they offer coaching if you look for it.

There are busy months and slow months.  It is important to take things one step at a time in busy times, and not rush sales.  In slow months it is important to show value, and dig for the best option for members.  If sales are just not there, the pressure and manor of which higher ups go after it can be frustrating.  Especially when coaching is not consistent.  Managers sometimes only care about their own sales, when their plateaus are smaller, instead of focussing to grow their employees.

Many times work life balance is not there.  They expect you to stay for hours beyond your shift, if it is busy, come in on days off, support when there is staff shortage, do in person work meetings and calls on your days off at short notice. They expect more and more, but there is also good vacation time, flexibility with shifts and access to your phone at work.

Overall this is an excellent career, and I have grown a lot in my personal and work life because of it.  We have a great team of employees and have a lot of fun at work!

Its an 8 hour shift, i interact with members, Help them finding the best and full solution to their needs. Coach my employees to help them succeed at work.

Through my understanding of people I lead a team of 6 to optimize their sales that funnel into a larger store budget/stretch goals. I optimize my team’s sales capabilities by teaching methodologies and behavioural strategies that the typical Costco member looks especially into customer service. 

I’ve learned to act proactively in our 70% rule. I still think people are the hardest but it’s a welcome challenge to my job like cracking a code. I enjoy the members coming back trusting us and telling us we are the best in class. Same time I love that I get to run a team and have fun encouraging and doing different team building activities with them.

I like to stay on top of the competition (that includes with other kiosks of ours)  which is healthy here, lots of opportunity to expand the business and looking forward to making great money all the meanwhile. 

Typical day at work is helping our Costco members to get them the best wireless experience.

Working at  the Wireless kiosk in Costco taught me valuable communication and sales skills. 

The role is fast-paced and target-driven, which kept things challenging and rewarding. 
I gained experience in handling objections, and building customer relationships. 

The team environment was supportive, and management provided regular training and feedback. 
I was able to grow from a Sales associate to a Manager In training through the support and coaching given to me by my Management.

Hitting commission goals is definitely a motivating factor. If you’re comfortable with working towards sales targets, growing everyday, this is a solid opportunity.


When I started this job I was very excited as to take this position but there is a big imbalance between company provided training and execution. You will be trained to excel the ultimate customer satisfaction in the training room but when you are sent to field you are told to develop just shark mentality who will be eating the customers regardless of their needs what customer wants. You are watched for 2 weeks or so if you are working according to customer needs and get threatened to perform according to company's shark mentality and to focus on convincing selling. This company is situated in Costco and they need to know that they are infringing the costco trust which costco has built in decades.

Everyday I strive to beat my Goals and am always learning new things from my colleagues and customers. My manager is very hands on and helps me with any inquiry or problem I face at work. 
The Barrie Team has been extremely welcoming and helpful, making me feel at home as immediately a part of their "family".
Hardest part of the job has to be when customers continue to push for extra deals and extra GWPs, as they tend to be very head strong in my inability to provide them with extra Discounts and Promotions.
Most enjoyable part of the job is helping customers to save money and help them to learn their new devices and have them leaving extremely satisfied and recommending myself and the Wireless ETC booths to their friends and family.

A typical day at work involves assisting customers, driving sales, and striving to meet personal targets. Through this, I developed strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. The management team maintains a structured approach and focuses on overall goals, though more recognition of individual achievements would further motivate the team. The workplace culture is safe, friendly, and supportive, which makes daily tasks more enjoyable. The hardest part of the job can be maintaining energy during slower periods or high-pressure sales days. The most enjoyable part is helping customers find the right products and celebrating team successes.

Providing legendary services/sales everyday while having fun/interactive and dynamic environment with problem solving, educating customers with the latest technology making it make sense for everyone.

Everyday we learn what it takes to have a balance over sales, customer service, logistics. Wearing many hats builds us up for successful business organizatio, leading us to think on a bigger scale to work collectively in a team environment.

Always active training daily online training, monthly and quarterly training course to keep staff well trained and on top of the latest industry mobile learning. 


Overall I had a great experience working here. I learned a lot about myself including he fact that I can work well alone but shine in a team environment. I was always helping out my co workers and every customer I came into contact with. I wish the schedule was a little more flexible to suit my extra curricular activities and personal life affairs but sacrifices were met. I found that less attention was given by levels up upper management and many positive things I've done for the overall upkeep and efficiency of the company was overlooked or not taken into consideration. Apart from that it was a great time I enjoye myself.
