Attending North Etobicoke Local Immigration Partnership Workshops

Most enjoyable part of the job was helping people at the community center and I feel good when I was getting lot's of feed back from staff and community Center users

I enjoyed my time at triOS. Management was supportive and my campus director was always there to help.  There was a lot of opportunity to connect with your coworkers after covid started with the end of week meetings and the support to learn the online resources was great. The instructors I got a chance to meet were always very helpful if you wanted to learn from whatever they were doing in the classroom. The students were interesting to get to know. 

Colleagues were great but the pressure from management was fierce. You are rated every 3 months by students and if it’s lower than 80% then you’re put under review. One low student score on the ‘matrix’ an result in reduced or no pay increase.
Pay increases are 25 cents a year if you’re lucky. If a student raises a stink they want to preserve the registration so support is limited. 
Bottom line is bums in the seats. It is a profit making limited education private school with no real regulation from the province. Trios is the best of a bad bunch due to the really good teaching colleagues. Most of us worked there because we were desperate for a job including a lot of newcomer professionals who couldn’t find work elsewhere. If you take the job do so with a time limit because the place wears you down and leaves you thinking you can’t get any other job.

Kahoot and different flavour of coffee

No future growth in the company

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They don't care. They are nice at first but their horns will come out after a couple of weeks and fire people. They claim that they are best manage company-platinum member, but in reality they are cruel employer. Never ever work from this company. If you are aspiring student don’t waste your money enrolling in this school. Totally disaster at the end.  Enrol somewhere else not private school like this one.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Meeting every MWF talking about the same thing over-and-over again. No directions given, work your own and supervised by non-ethical managers. Complete moron company.

Working here was an absolute nightmare! With a high turnover rate, no one knows what they're doing and there's so much confusion about correct processes. 
There's poor communication throughout the College, and everyone quickly throws each other under the bus and absolves themselves of responsibility. There's also no support, and if you say that your workload is unreasonable, your concerns will be ignored. They want so much from you without giving clear direction or time.

Pay is below market rate, though Executives would like to claim otherwise. Don't expect a raise. They have no problem creating unnecessary middle managers who do or know nothing while earning big salaries. 

Most enjoyable part of the job was the employees who worked there. Some excellent employees who worked hard.
Managers are hired on a whim and completely unqualified, management seems to get a pass when they are not doing their jobs but entry level/mid level employees are expected to provide the world. 
Benefits or bonuses provided to employees are almost laughable. No option for any bonus regardless of how well the company does, at Christmas we are given a $25 gift card which doesn't even buy you one full meal.
Company benefits are very standard and do not cover a lot, just the very basic minimum. 

To start off, the pay is absolutely abysmal for the job titles that they expect you to take on. It is WAY below market and anyone working here struggles to keep up with the rising cost of living. Internal job postings are sent every single day but no one is ever hired internally, so absolutely no room for growth within the company. Company expects overtime to be performed and duties that are not part of the job description to be fulfilled without being compensated. Upper management is so dense that they are stumped as to why they have such a high turn over rate. It's only redeeming quality is that coworkers are angels and easy to work with.

Provide technical assistance for students and staff
Escalate issues in a timely manner
Deploy and maintain various computer images for Troubleshooting Desktop and VMware virtual machines use by staff and students
Troubleshoot and resolve/repair computer and network hardware and software issues
Network troubleshooting, configuration (Cabling, Switching, Wireless configuration, DHCP) and implementation of cabled infrastructure based on floor plans and schematics.
Assist with a wide variety of students needs (e.g., high and low incidence) and staff with the operation of computer hardware, basic networks, instructional and word processing software.

For internship, you are given 2 projects to do (not told in which order to do them).

It is the type of challenge an intern would expect.

I wish upper management and lower management had better communication and organisation between them.

I was asked to do a project in one version of an application, and a week later told to do it in a newer version.

After coming close to finishing the first project, senior management said they wanted the second one done first so to stop and work on the other one.  (Although this is not uncommon in many workplaces)
