In the past two weeks alone, 4 regular employees have quit. Prior to quitting, we were already overworked to begin with. I was hired as a cashier but I had to work multiple departments including grocery and produce, and occasionally came in during my days off due to understaffing. Upper management is a nightmare, flexibility is poor, and the cash manager is rude and lazy. I felt unappreciated for all of the work I did. There were never any opening shifts available so I ended up working until nearly 10PM almost every shift. Upper management would watch us through the cameras and complain about the cashiers talking too much. It's not our fault that you have no customers in the store. They would also get mad at us for not bringing the carts inside (sometimes in the freezing rain) because the hobos would steal them. We ended up blocking off one cash register to line it up with carts, because the owners refused to pay to fix the locks of the cart corral. They wouldn't pay for cleaning services so we would mop the entire store with dirty mop water. One of the customer bathrooms smelled like a decaying rodent for months because they delayed fixing the pipes. The shelves are covered in dust and gave my hands rashes while stocking merchandise. The only upside to working at this job were (most of) the employees. The co-workers were kind and supportive, and they definitely made the work more bearable. I hope they achieve their wildest dreams beyond working at this dump. 

This place sucks the absolute life out of you.  They overwork you, micromanage you, and pay you nothing for it.  I never once felt appreciated by management in my very few months there.  In those few months, I saw multiple employees go (4 to be exact), and I know of two more who have left since I stopped working there a month ago.  They were also disrespectful of the fact that I had to catch a bus home.  Store closed at 9, we had to stay to clean afterwards.  Usually we finished cleaning before 9:30, and would even clock out before then.  The last bus of the night showed up at 9:32ish.  They wouldn't let me leave two minutes before 9:30 to run across the street and catch it.  I only ever worked closing shifts, and that was the last bus home, so every night I had to Uber home.  Most of my shifts were 4 hours long, there's goes a quarter of my shift's pay just to make it home safely.  Luckily, your coworkers are excellent people, and they help make it easier to exist at work, but that's about the only good thing I can say.

All in all, don't work here, you'll get nothing out of it.

This company has amazing ideas, products and visions but they can barely take care of their own employees. Employees are you biggest customers and were treated as if they were disposable and over worked. I was a grocery manager for this company and I have never worked at a place that thinks so little of people. I worked 60 hours a week on salary and had barely any staff to back me up. I never got the time off I requested even though you are given vacation time. Meanwhile HR took 6 vacations in 2020. I was told I was an asset to the company and yet they still took advantage of me, my skill set and work ethic. 
They keep people and hire people who have no business being managers and make the other manager train them and deal with them being late, not showing up and not doing their job.
I was disappointed to leave but they refuse to change the way they treat people. 

It was a pleasure to work at Organic Garage. If there is one word that could sum up the entire experience of working there it would be quality. The quality of the products sold, the quality of customer service provided, and the quality of staff performance was always of incredible importance. A typical day at work involved continuous quality control, ordering and receiving products, staff management, and assisting customers.The upper management was always invested in the success of their employees and continually provided the necessary tools to accomplish it.The most enjoyable aspect of the job was always the interaction with customers. Because the company is very community focused, a high priority was placed on providing exceptional customer service, and interactions with satisfied customers reflected that.

I worked here for not too long and I grew to dislike working here. They expect so much out of you and have super strange procedures that no other grocery store has. I was a part timer and I expected to be working 20-25 hours a week and at times I'd be working 35. They only have an assistant manager and they attempted to hire a manger but he only lasted two days because the stores procedures didn't make sense. I saw over 5 people leave the produce department in the span of 5 months but there was definitely over 10 people that had left the store in general. Management isn’t to bad but upper management like HR is unfair. The store was always in shambles and the lack of  coordination Throughout the store at all times was sad to watch.

- have to earn hours.
- a lot of gossip just like being at school.
- head office is highly unprofessional, management is awful and if head office yells to the managers expect to come into work being yelled at and told you are doing everything wrong.
- no structure.
- customers can be very rude but few nice regulars which do perk up your day.
- expect to go above and beyond with minimum wage, no raise, and no thanks. you can work overtime and help every department yet still be written up for the smallest inconvenience and hours can be cut from 42 to 10 if they don't like you.
- very unprofessional, HR is very biased on who they pick to hire and watch cameras 24/7 only to nit pick that you may be smiling or talking to another staff and you will be yelled at and now written up for.
- no discounts.
- only 1 good manager out of 4.

Upper management micro manages lower level management. 

They expect too much to get done in the time they expect it to be done in. 

Upper management comes down on lower management on a regular basis. Organic Garage is an abusive work place.

The worst part of the job was trying my best and convincing the team to all try their best so corporate couldnt complain about anything, to then still be told we missed a lot of tasks and we should all try harder. 

During my time it was about 1 to 2 quits per month and one month 3 people left but there average is 1 to 2 quits a month.

The CEO has delusions about this business being a mom and pop. It's grown to be a company with lots of corporate issues they claim to be free of.

Not only did I do my best as a worker, but on almost every occasion felt unrecognized for my accomplishments & hard work. I felt like I was putting out such high quality of work, only to not get the acknowledgment I deserved. It may sound entitled, but this company does not do promotions for those deserving from within the company. It doesn't matter how hard you work, or the load you take on. If you don't formerly apply for the position you are going for in the future, they'll most likely give it away to someone else, regardless of how hard you worked. I feel you'll be taken advantage of & have a higher workload and more expected of you than the job entails. Overall, very stressful environment to work in. Would not recommend. 

The employees are asked to do a lot just for a minimum wage position given. Poor management even disrespectful at times if they need you to do something, and the waste a lot of products there instead of giving it to the employees near expirey date. Little to no training given upon hire. The worst is when the micromanage you heavily for months and regardless if your working full-time or part time every week the hours where unsteady. Besides all that most my co workers was fun to be around and genuine people as well as the customers where great to interact with.

I don't recommend this place to anyone to work nor shop as the grocery prices are just too high even with a employee discount.

Over the 6 months I worked there we had 5 managers quit as well as a handful of employees. No work life balance .  
Liberty village to be exact is making all there part time employees work up to 45 hrs a week but won’t give them full time. as well as won’t hire management they rather just put it on other employees and save money . Last 3 months of me working at liberty there was no grocery management except some grocery specialist who comes in twice a week to tell you all the things you did wrong and need to do. Most the problems are usually jobs that are done by management so they pawn it off to part time employees since they have no management. 

Save your mental well being and look else where.
