Social Media Specialist

On behalf of our client, Procom is actively seeking a Communications Specialist who will help them take strategic communication programs to the next level with their savvy community support capabilities and excellent tracking and reporting skill

Social Media Specialist Job Details

  • Writing, editing and distributing content for social and owned media channels including our blog 
  • Planning and executing social media editorial calendars in partnership with other internal teams 
  • Creating, curating and managing all external communications activities in social media 
  • Identifying and connecting with potential influencers and micro-influencers 
  • Monitoring and tracking our external communications successes: analyzing the data to create regular and ad-hoc research-based reports to maximize learnings 
  • Monitoring trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy 
  • Tracking metrics to ensure the team remains on-track to reach performance goals 
  • Embracing innovation by actively incorporating new technologies and ways of achieving success 

Social Media Specialist Mandatory Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related position within a fast-paced environment 
  • Stellar writing skills; proven ability to create dynamic communications programs across a variety of platforms 
  • Superior working knowledge of all social media platforms including, but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook 
  • Experience with Hootsuite, Radian 6 and other social media tracking tools 
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Strong relationship management skills, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude 
  • Ability to work well independently as well as a team player 
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively under tight timelines while using strong time management skills 
  • Experience creating images, infographics and editing video 
  • Degree or certification in social/digital media, public relations or communications
