GTA-Homes is looking for an experienced Web Content Writer who specializes on strategic web content development, writing and editing in a fast paced environment to join our ever growing marketing team. We are expanding our use of content marketing and need to create lots of great written content in various media platforms. If you are a person who loves reading and writing and have the passion for it, who can organize, write and present information that effectively conveys the desired message, through a variety of different media from traditional to internet, i.e. blogs, brochures, web pages, press releases, news articles, etc.. than apply your skills here. Apply your passion for reading and writing to develop content that informs buyers/sellers of today’s ever changing real estate industry. The Web Content Writer writes and edits articles and connects with campaign managers to facilitate editorial planning to support Go-to-Market messages across GTA-Homes owned media.
You will be working as part of a marketing team in a full-time, in-house role with friendly, positive professionals in our bright, spacious, pleasant office, that includes a fully-stocked kitchen with snacks and drinks.
The candidate should be an exceptional writer in English with a minimum of 5 years' experience in producing, editing and proofreading content for the web.
A minimum of 5 years' experience with working with industry standard web Content Management Systems such as Blogger, WordPress, Joomla, etc.
The candidate should be an exceptional writer in English with an excellent command on English grammar.
Know basic design fundamentals of content creation such as writing style, use of active tone, use of embedded links throughout the text and familiarity with digital content management systems.
Well-versed with WordPress and Mailchimp.
Social Media Savvy.
Deep understanding of current and future digital trends across all platforms and best practices of optimizing web content.
Knowledge of basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) content writing techniques is a must
Conduct comprehensive SEO keyword research for every project, include keywords within copy in a natural way, and avoid “keyword stuffing”
Create clear, SEO-rich product copy, meta tags, titles and page descriptions and leverage SEM keyword learnings to enhance search visibility and grow organic traffic
Stay on top of SEO trends and learnings and ability to find opportunities to improve search rankings based on best practices
Be able to personalize content so that it speaks to a specific audience, and be able to write content for different customer journeys—while adhering to our overall tone and style
Knowledge and experience of writing content specific to different service and industry sectors especially real estate will be considered an advantage.
Write and edit content, based on assignments, knowledge and areas of expertise for Blogs, Newsletter, News Articles, Press Releases, Pages, Interviews and Product Content
Understand how to identify and create content that aligns with GTA-Homes strategies and brand requirements
Create and send e-newsletters
Develop content, build and maintain the social media strategy for the company and optimize use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc.)
Improve the usability, design, content and conversion of the corporate websites
Create video content and corporate presentations
Create original, compelling and branded web copy to motivate engagement and conversion
Collaborate with teams to develop meaningful product stories that are on-brand and on-strategy.
Ability to translate complex technical documentation into consumer-friendly language that drives action.
Content will include everything from product and service descriptions, to rich “engaging” content (e.g., how-to articles), all designed to guide the customer through the consideration and purchase funnel
Take proactive approach to improving existing copy and develop governance guidelines for ensuring maintenance, and removal of outdated content
Manage and maintain copy decks from start to finish (including internal clients revisions, legal/compliance feedback, technical updates, SEO optimization)
Other marketing duties as required
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:
Experience managing and executing digital marketing content, landing page, product page, news and blog pages and a range of other related skills
Proven ability to bring great ideas from inception to full execution, including measuring results
Expert at identifying trends in web data, drawing conclusions and making actionable recommendations to key stakeholders within the organization
Self-starter with demonstrated strong planning and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Strong sense of ownership, positive attitude, drive and enthusiasm
Demonstrated capability for decision making, sound judgment and assertiveness
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experienced and proficient in social media marketing
Experienced with Mailchimp or similar email automation programs
Strong numerical, analytical and data processing skills
Some knowledge of HTML

Education and Experience:
University Degree in Digital Marketing / Digital Content Writing or related field (in a field where good written communication was required)
Minimum 3-5 years’ work related experience
Proven track record in developing digital marketing strategy, excellent understanding of web technologies, exposure and passion for social media, SEM/SEO, digital content / web content writing
Proven track record of delivering exceptional and measurable performance results through digital marketing efforts
Experience with brand management / content writing in Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Youtube
Understanding of content writing for both web and print media
Ability to work effectively in a team
Willingness to ask questions and seek information and feedback from people
