Sales and Marketing Specialist

SIGA is currently looking for creative, motivated, passionate, and energetic individuals to join our team.

Successful completion of a four year degree in Communications (Public Relations or Journalism), English, Marketing or related field.

Minimum three years' experience working in publishing, advertising, promotions, or marketing in the following areas: social media; writing, editing, and copy editing; strategic communications; analytics; online marketing; marketing planning; and,
Experience in an inside sales role, particularly in a B2B environment would be an asset.
Background in gaming, hospitality, event planning or entertainment would be an asset.

Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, web and social media analytics, with the ability to learn additional applications as required.
Knowledge of marketing and advertising principles, strategies, and ethics.
Knowledge of the gaming, hospitality or entertainment industries would be an asset.

Ability to select the appropriate communication methods and tools, depending on the audience and situation.
Ability to consistently provide friendly, timely, and accurate client service.
Ability to exercise judgement regarding day-to-day priorities and situations.
Ability to facilitate progress toward team or unit goals, by promoting accountability and alignment among team members.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments and units.
Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail in copy writing, editing, and design implementation.
Ability to gather, interpret, and prepare accurate information in a timely manner.

Condition of Employment
Must consent to a background check in order to qualify as a gaming employee
Must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)
Must be 19 years of age or older
Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver's License and acceptable driving record

Main Duties
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position serves to expand SIGA's positive online presence through social media communication and digital advertising. It also facilitates growth of event centre bookings and conducts sales. Responsibilities include: Executing a strategic sales approach that will increase the awareness and business of SIGA's facility rentals, meeting space and food and beverage services. Reviewing and coordinating SIGA's online content from various stakeholders. Gathering, analyzing and reporting on ROI data for all related initiatives. Implementing, maintaining and reporting on SIGA's social media program. Participating in other projects and activities as required in support of SIGA's marketing priorities.
