Customer Services Support Specialist – Student Information System (SIS)

Contract to February 5, 2018

An aptitude for working face-to-face with clients complements your software support expertise, making you an ideal candidate for this opportunity with the Peel District School Board’s Learning Technology Support Services department.

Reporting to the Customer Support Team Leader (SIS), you’ll be responsible for providing direct user support for the Student Information System – from answering and troubleshooting calls, to testing software and conducting in-house training sessions and workshops. As an integral part of your role as Customer Services Support Specialist for the SIS, you’ll also document procedures, inform staff on up-to-date new features and solutions to common or recurring problems. Attending training sessions and courses for new software, new releases and enhancements will be key in this role, so that you can keep current with new developments in the field.


As a Customer Services Support Specialist – SIS, you’ll put to work your post-secondary education or equivalent, and no fewer than 2 years’ experience providing customer support for medium-large software applications. This position will also enable you to call on your:

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment.

Experience with the following would be an asset:

  • Experience with a Student Information System
  • Previous experience working in a school environment (K-12)
  • Experience leading training programs.
