auOur client a leading international manufacturer of premium consumer goods is seeking a RETAIL STORE MANAGER.  This is a full-time permanent opportunity with competitive compensation package located in the Vaughan Mills.

This individual must be customer service oriented, possessing superior verbal presentation skills and a professional image through their appearance and dress.  


Job Responsibilities:


·        Personnel

o   Manage store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling and assigning employees

o   Develop sales associates through coaching, counselling, monitoring, disciplining and appraising

o   Maintain store operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing policies and procedures


·        Administration

o   Uphold store reputation by complying with legal requirements

o   Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment

o   Ensure proper opening and closing as well as register and cash handling

o   Bag or package purchases

o   Handle back office and provide requested reporting


·        Financial

o   Manage sales budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions

o   Ensure sales and profit targets are met or exceeded

·        Merchandise

o   Ensure availability of merchandise by managing orders and shipments

o   Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures

o   Create and maintain optimal product presentation in accordance to set standards

o   Analyze traffic patterns in the store and suggest product placement 

o   Make assortment recommendations based on customers’ needs

o   Describe merchandise to customers


·        Marketing

o   Ensure outstanding and consistent customer service 

o   Make recommendations for special promotions

o   Propose and execute special events to generate traffic

o   Help create and implement a Customer Relationship Management system

o   Promote the store by building relationships in the local community


Job Requirements:


·        3-4 years of experience working in a fast-paced retail location

·        Willing to work a flexible schedule, which includes evening, weekend and holiday hours.  

·        Culinary passion!

·        Proven track record of success in the retail industry

·        Exceptional customer service orientation

·        Professional image

·        Ability to lead and motivate a team

·        Sound problem solving and organizational skills (ie. expediting, prioritizing and multi-tasking)

·        Strong business sense

·        Results-driven

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office
