CIMA+' Montreal office is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support his team on piping projects.




  • Discipline lead role on project teams;
  • Coordinate engineering and design activities related to piping;
  • Review and coordinate the piping engineering ;
  • Perform stress analysis with Caesar II;
  • Generate/review piping specifications and obtain vendor quotation;
  • Develop construction specification and scope of work documentation;
  • Review welding procedures and construction procedures;
  • Construction cost estimating;
  • Engineering man-hour development;
  • Maintain control of the piping scope budget and schedule;
  • Oversee the preparation of plot plans equipment layout;
  • Review and approve the isometrics drawings done by the team;
  • Assist the discipline lead in the scheduling and resource management;
  • Interact and communicate with design leads and other project members;
  • Engage in inter-discipline design reviews and contribute to quality control and assurance;
  • Provide field support at client facilities to develop design concepts, verify existing drawings and perform final design checks.



  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical engineering and members of the OIQ;
  • 8 years of experience in piping stress analysis and design;
  • Work independently with little or no supervision;
  • Solid understanding of equipment design, piping specifications and related industry codes and standards such as CSA, ASME, ANSI, API;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment;
  • Strong Knowledge of the ASME B31.3 and associated Codes;
  • Good knowledge of the ASME Section IX;
  • Good knowledge of the ASME Section VIII Div 1;
  • Proficiency in French and English.
