Restaurant Server / Waitress
Mermaid Fish & Grill House is looking for a friendly, reliable, and experienced server to join our team.
We are a busy restaurant with a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable handling rush periods, managing multiple tables, and providing excellent customer service under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take accurate food and drink orders
- Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations
- Manage reservations and help organize seating
- Serve food and beverages efficiently
- Check on guests throughout their meal
- Clear, clean, and reset tables
- Assist with managing busy crowds and wait times
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and other team members
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Help teammates when the restaurant becomes busy
Schedule:
**Most needed Fri- Sunday 12am-9pm**
**Be available on the weekends/ holidays**
Qualifications
- Previous serving, waitressing, restaurant, or customer-service experience is preferred
- Experience working in a busy or fast-paced environment is an asset
- Able to stay calm, organized, and professional during rush periods
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
- Able to multitask and manage several tables at once
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Smart Serve certification is preferred or must be obtained if required for the position
