Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead production operations, oversee machine setup activities, and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can motivate teams while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.
The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role on the production floor — coordinating people, processes, and equipment to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and support business growth. Experience setting up and managing manufacturing machinery, leading teams, and improving workflows is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved.
- Oversee machine setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and production readiness to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Supervise and support production teams, providing leadership, direction, and accountability on the floor.
- Coordinate production schedules, workflow, staffing, and material availability.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor KPIs, production metrics, downtime, and operational performance, reporting results to management.
- Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, purchasing, and quality teams to support smooth operations.
- Train, mentor, and develop operators and supervisors to build a high-performing production team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong experience with machine setup, production operations, and manufacturing workflows.
- Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and drive operational improvements.
- Experience working with production scheduling, inventory systems, and ERP/MRP software is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles preferred.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
