DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Support and maintain a healthy, happy work environment and positive company culture.
- Rough Framing and Finishing Carpentry - experience and confidence to assist with all things carpentry with a keen eye and high level of attention to detail.
- Concrete Work - experience with concrete demolition, mixing/ filling and floor leveling.
- Other renovation related duties - including: demolition, the installation of vanities, mirrors, towel bars, and barn doors, small drywall patches, silicone application, material pickups and deliveries to shop and sites, runner, etc.
- Completing project duties to meet milestones and completion dates, without sacrificing high quality.
- Working alone and alongside other trades to ensure client renovation projects move forward and exceed their expectations for quality.
- Communicate with Project Manager, Lead Carpenter, and other internal staff.
- Attend regular weekly team meetings.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of residential renovation construction experience.
- Valid Alberta Driver's License with Clean Abstract
- Experience working in residential renovation construction and are currently working as a site assistant and understand the role and responsibilities.
- Knowledge and experience of residential renovations and/or new home construction.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to move at a quick pace while maintaining the highest quality.
- Must have your own tools in good working condition.
- Must have a reliable truck with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs on a regular basis.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Good communicator
- Ability to follow instructions as well as read and interpret blueprints – with the confidence to respectfully question when necessary.
- Exhibits confidence with a high level of perfectionism.
- Customer service focused.
- Personable, fun, high energy while also focused and hardworking - you get the job done.
- You give maximum effort and are motivated to move at a quick pace without sacrificing quality.
