Medical Esthetician
Miracle Beauty Aesthetic Clinic – North York, ON
Permanent Part-Time | Approximately 25–35 Hours Per Week
Job Summary
Miracle Beauty Aesthetic Clinic is seeking an experienced, passionate, and client-focused Medical Esthetician to join our growing team.
We are a medical aesthetics clinic specializing in advanced skin rejuvenation, laser treatments, RF microneedling, injectable support, and medical-grade skincare programs.
Our ideal candidate is highly professional, detail-oriented, passionate about skin health, and genuinely invested in helping clients achieve long-term results. We are looking for someone who values education, continuous learning, exceptional customer service, personal accountability, and building lasting relationships with clients.
This position is best suited for an individual who enjoys combining science-based skincare knowledge with strong hands-on treatment skills and a warm, personalized approach to patient care.
Important: Technical Knowledge and Hands-On Competency
At Miracle Beauty, knowing the steps of a treatment is not considered the same as being competent to perform it independently.
Medical Estheticians are expected to understand the equipment, technology and science behind the treatments they perform, including:
- The manufacturer, brand and model of devices they are operating
- The type of technology being used
- Relevant laser wavelengths or energy modalities
- Why a particular technology is appropriate for the client's concern and skin type
- Fitzpatrick skin typing and considerations for Fitzpatrick I–VI
- Risks associated with darker skin tones and clients prone to PIH
- Indications and contraindications
- Appropriate treatment endpoints and expected tissue response
- Pre- and post-treatment requirements
- When a treatment should be modified, postponed, declined or escalated to a medical provider
We are looking for practitioners who take personal responsibility for understanding what they are using on a client and why, rather than simply following a machine setting without understanding the underlying treatment.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss the specific manufacturers and models of devices they have personally operated, not simply state that they have “laser,” “RF,” “IPL,” or similar experience.
ResponsibilitiesClient Consultations & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive skin consultations and assessments.
- Analyze skin concerns and develop customized treatment plans.
- Obtain and review relevant medical history, medications, previous treatments and contraindications.
- Correctly assess Fitzpatrick skin type and other treatment-related risk factors.
- Educate clients on treatment options, expected outcomes, risks and aftercare protocols.
- Recommend appropriate medical-grade skincare products based on individual skin concerns and goals.
- Develop long-term treatment and homecare programs when appropriate.
- Build strong client relationships through genuine conversation, trust, education and personalized care.
- Ensure clients understand what treatment is being recommended, why it is appropriate and what results can realistically be expected.

- Efficient room and equipment setup
- Confidence moving through treatment protocols without unnecessary hesitation
- Strong attention to client comfort and treatment response

Client Experience & Sales
- Deliver exceptional, personalized client service.
- Communicate treatment information clearly and professionally.

- Build and maintain a loyal client base.
- Contribute to clinic revenue through ethical, science-based recommendations.

- Immediately report unexpected treatment responses or concerns.
- Never perform a treatment independently until they have been formally cleared to do so.
We strongly value practitioners who are curious, accountable and willing to say “I don't know yet, but I want to learn” rather than overstating their knowledge or experience.

Candidate Assessment & Training Process
Miracle Beauty maintains a competency-based training and sign-off process.
Depending on previous experience, candidates may be evaluated through:
- Résumé and certification verification
- Telephone or video screening
- Technical interview questions
- Verbal knowledge assessment
- Written knowledge assessment
- Treatment-planning scenarios
- Hands-on practical assessment
- Device-specific training
- Supervised treatment performance
- Final competency sign-off
No practitioner will independently perform a treatment solely because it appears on their résumé or because they have previously used a similar device.
Our goal is not simply to determine whether someone has been exposed to a treatment. We evaluate whether they understand it, can explain it, can perform it safely and can demonstrate consistent hands-on competency.
Training, Probation & Compensation Progression
Compensation is based on experience, demonstrated competency and level of independent treatment ability.
Candidates requiring additional training may progress through stages such as:
Training / Orientation Stage
Focused on clinic protocols, technology, skin science, device education and supervised practical training.
Probationary Provider Stage
Candidate has demonstrated foundational competency but continues to be evaluated for treatment quality, technical knowledge, client care, efficiency and consistency.
Fully Qualified / Signed-Off Provider Stage
Candidate has successfully demonstrated required theoretical knowledge, practical competency, consultation ability and safe independent treatment performance.
Movement between compensation levels is based on documented competency and successful completion of required assessments, rather than simply time spent employed.
Expected hours are approximately 25–35 hours per week, depending on clinic needs, training requirements and the candidate's demonstrated scope of independent competency.
