Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
- Ensure adherence to store policies regarding cash handling, returns, and exchanges
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customers
- Basic math skills for processing payments and giving correct change
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising, and product demos is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
