Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Alberta Registered LPNs to help care for clients in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Please note this is a casual position and hours available are dependent on clients available. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments, with a strong focus on patient-centered care. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings. The LPN will be responsible for delivering safe, effective nursing services while supporting the health and well-being of patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Comfortable working with palliative clients and wound care.
- Meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care.
- Comfortable working with all ages having cognitive and physical disabilities.
- Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Coordinator
- Help clients with their ADL's (Activities of Daily Living).
- Assist clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
- Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practising safely and competently within the job description.
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns as they come up
- Able to travel from client to client in a timely fashion.
Skills
- Proven experience in nursing home, hospital, or home care environments
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience in dementia care, hospice, or mental health preferred
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including children and elderly patients
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and families
- Ability to manage casework effectively within fast-paced clinical settings
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
