The School of Land Use and Environmental Change invites applicants for a one-year Limited Term Faculty appointment. The successful applicant will be expected to teach a total of seven (7) course sections related to human geography and environmental studies. Courses might include GEOG 111, Environmental Issues and Strategies; GEOG 140, Human Geography; GEOG 241, Social Geography: GEOG 257, Environmental Science and Communications; and GEOG 311, Global Resources and the Environment. The successful applicant is expected to contribute to the service needs of the school and to support student research.
Duties of Limited Term faculty fall within Article 18.2 (Teaching Faculty Duties) of the Collective Agreement, specifically the Teaching and Service components.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of an MA in Geography, Environmental Studies, or related field, but a PhD is preferred as well as a proven record of excellence in teaching.
