Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Supervisor to oversee production planning, scheduling, and inventory coordination. This role ensures efficient workflow, on-time delivery, and optimal use of resources while maintaining high quality standards.
The ideal candidate will ensure production control processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining high-quality standards. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement to meet company goals.

Location: Alliston, Ontario
Duties
- Supervise daily production control activities, including scheduling and workflow coordination
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
- Collaborate with varied departments to ensure smooth operations of the Production Control Department.
- Analyze production control data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Lead, coach, support and back up production control department members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Resolve production control issues and implement corrective actions
- Co-ordinate and monitor the movement of parts, supplies and materials within the facility and ensure that products are shipped and received on schedule.
- Prepare and maintain various reports while utilizing the company's ERP/MRP system.
- Responsible for ordering materials and managing inventory.
- Determine most efficient method of logistics, and manage and maintain purchasing materials and shipping of finished goods.
- Participate in TPS (Kaizen) Initiatives with a goal of ensuring improved efficiencies and effectiveness
- Be the driving force behind safety and lead by example
- Manage and control the department budget, not exceeding requirements
- Train new associates, provide ongoing formalized coaching and conduct formal performance appraisal meetings according to company policy to improve team performance and promote growth.
- Liaise with customers regarding production delivery updates and/or concerns.
- Issue PO's to suppliers and coordinate transportation and ensure to provide any feedback regarding regarding transportation of products.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods and ensure to update/adjust inventory in MRP system as required.
- Attend monthly management meetings and report on key performance indicators.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among all team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an automotive manufacturing environment with prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong understanding of production control processes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and coordinate with other departments
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement solutions efficiently
- Proficiency in using appropriate software and MS Office tools
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- College diploma or equivalent; additional technical or leadership training is a plus
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems, specifically with Plex would be an asset.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and work experience. This is a full time position and the company also offers a comprehensive benefit package including a company matching RRSP program.
