We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Career Expo Sales Representative to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate revenue by selling booth spaces and sponsorship packages to companies interested in participating in our career expo events. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping job seekers and employers connect. Based in Surrey, we’re a local media champion on a mission to transform the career events landscape with operations spanning across British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Washington State, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and other sales techniques.
- Conduct research to identify potential exhibitors and sponsors, understanding their hiring needs and preferences.
- Reach out to companies and engage decision-makers to present the value proposition of participating in our career expo events.
- Customize sales pitches and proposals based on the specific needs and objectives of each potential client.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including contact information, interactions, and sales progress.
- Collaborate with the events manager to deploy exhibitors robust marketing bundles.
- Provide exceptional customer service to existing clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and identify new opportunities for the events growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, experience in selling event sponsorships or exhibit space highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Excel, and Apple Products.
